can someone please tell me how the subs work, the higher the sub number the more subs or is it the lower the number the more subs let me know thanks.

A word here,also make sure that your global setting for fatigue is not at "0" that would mean that players aren't wearing down and if at "0" its possible no one is too tired to rest. So they remain on the floor.
