Re: Nothing beats this for unexplainable circumstances

I also had a similar experience just yesterday. I was called for a shooting foul on an opposing player just as he made the layup. Basket is good, as was confirmed by Marv Albert and the PA announcer. I thought fair call, as I did hit the shooter pretty hard, and was already readying myself for the bonus freethrow and possible rebound when all of a sudden, the opposing team made a quick sideline inbound and snuck in for another easy layup, while I was left standing beyond the three point line, stunned and still crouched, ready to box out for the rebound. Bogus four-point play for the computer. This bug would have been acceptable in live 95 for the SNES, but not anymore. Good thing it happened early in the second half, and did not really affect the outcome of the game.

Did you call a timeout when you were out of them?

Maybe he went to the pause menu and hit the timeout button one too many times, because I've done that before..... I'm used to the cursor going back to "Resume Game" when taking a T.O...... but in this game, it doesn't, and sometimes unintentionally the user takes an extra timeout.

Not to mention that in years past, the Timeout option was grayed out after taking a T.O...... they need to do that again.... of course I should be paying attention, also, but it would be another step forward in making the menus more user friendly.

I hit the Select button (timeout) as I was coming up the court. Yes, in this game you can accidently use multiple timeouts while in the Pause menu, but it's more of an irritation - it doesn't give you a penalty for using them. Either way, that wasn't the case with me.

Again, I think what happened to me was a very random glitch - but I think the BS AI that runs across all EA Sports games is very, very real.
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Yeah you used too many time outs and got called for a t.
i have done this more than once, and it doesnt tell you what you have done. It gives you the time out and when you come out of the timeout the cpu gets his ft and the ball out.
Remember even tho you get like 7 timeouts you can only take 4 into the 4th quarter. Like i said i have done this twice before and didnt know wtf was going on the 1st time i did it. It is not a bug it is just you calling a timeout when you didnt have one!
