So you are basically saying 2k13 passing system is "realistic" ?

One, 2k13 hasn't came out yet. Two, he was obviously talking about 2k12, and how EA was talking about 2k12 when they had problems of their own.

Now, most of the turnovers can, in fact, be mitigated by not throwing lazy passes. IE Cross Court passes or passing in traffic with those that have bad passing ratings. Really, you can fire up 2k12 right now, throw in traffic to a cutter with Rondo, Nash, or Jason Kidd and the pass will make it thier 90% of the time if you lead pass in the proper direction. It's easier to lead pass if you use the icons.

sounds good to me so far. Live has a decent foundation minus the elite game. I'm optimistic about this game. I think 2k has gotten complacent and needs a challenge to motivate the staff at 2K.

sounds like EA is going the opposite direction of 2k by giving the player less control.
soundsliek its going to be an easy pick up and play, which is great for casual gamers. hopefully theyll have a more robust control scheme for hard core sim heads.
This is clearly a wait and see.

Yet the most palpably concerning expectation felt by NBA Live 13's developers is that gamers will think this should look like and play like a simulation basketball video game built with the luxury of a three-year schedule. It is not. It is a game that will be built on a year's production schedule, the same as its siblings in Madden and NCAA Football two floors above in the same building. The year EA Canada spent building NBA Elite 11 represented a thesis. The year tearing it down was the antithesis. NBA Live 13 will be the synthesis..

So they spent 2 years filtering what they could salvage..... and trying to rebuild in 1 year? Red flags to me... Hard8times gonna have a field day with this demo if it's not up snuff.

Wait, so instead of taking the two years to make the game from the Elite debacle, they STILL only used one year gaming cycle? Really? unbeliveable. So they're already saying "Don't expect much"

You can give any sports company including 2K two years and probably wouldn't get a great game. Maybe The Show would blow us away, but any other game...I wouldn't bet on it.

Indeed... NBA Live 13 is really Elite 11 leftovers of things we havent seen.. LOL. No work necessary, just salvage, Elmers Glue, tape, sprinkles.. and packaging.

Very scared that they are using Elite as a base. Would have felt better if they said they were building off Live 10...Still curious..

For those saying passing has never been done well I thought College Hoops 2k8 set the benchmark on passing imo.

Sounds like NBA ELITE base a couple new features and ESPN. No hesitation pass when this game comes out. EA sucks eggs now a days. EA is like that old veteran athlete that doesn't want to leave the game because they dominated when they first jumped on the seen. 2K and THE SHOW are the new allstars and it's just sad to see live keep doing this, like when MJ played for the Wizards. Just leave the game.

This is the only yr they have been working on the NBA live 13, now it is up to the videos of the game being played in a 5 on 5 setting for me to know what to feel next.

See Ea is known for over hyping their sports games so with that said and based off this article, i feel like they are trying their best not to over hype this years game because they do not have the type of air space to come off like that after what happen to Elite. So if i was anybody else i wouldn't read too hard into this article rather it was good or bad, until u play the demo your self. Thats if they willing to put out a demo this year! lol
