Nets + the EAST in LIVE 2004

I've simmed about five different seasons and New Jersey has never made the play offs. Not once.

I edited all their starters to make them higher, and they still didn't make it.

It's weird, as J Kidd is always amongst the assist leaders.

I am just curious as to whether anyone else has found this happeing?

Every simmed season, the WEST is damm near perfect. Record wise, the top 8 looks very realistic.

The EAST though...I am seeing Atlanta win it twice, Chicago finish second etc...it's wayyyyyyyyyyy out of synch.

I haven't been simming years ahead...

I've just simmed the 2003 / 2004 season several times...ie, the current one...and the Nets never make the play offs.

Was just wondering if anyone else has found this?

The WEST is always just about perfect...but the EAST has crazy results. Ie, Atlanta v Chicago for the East etc

ID 2003 had the same kind of problem, I think. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's because the combination of talent (on paper) just doesn't make them qualify as a playoff team. I know in ID 2003, the Jazz really suck if you sim a season. They don't even sniff the playoffs. They're at the bottom of the western conference. I've never tried simming ESPN NBA Basketball, so I can't say if it's had the same kind of problem.

Thats interesting, because in my season, the Nets are #2 in the East and Philly is #1. Indy is 3, Boston 4, New Orleans 5, Chicago 6, Detroit 7, and the Hawks 8. Maybe it has to do with playing the season and not simming?

Maybe some of the Live programmers are Bulls/Hawks fans.
