Re: First set of screens for NBA Live 13
Im not going to lie. I could care less about graphics this year. I, like many others have had enough of the other bball game. I play on Pc and get the most out of 2k, but the gameplay is killing me.
My focus this year will be realistic gameplay. I could care less if I can see sweat dripping off players, Dwades birth mark or home/away color schemes. I just want something that represent basketball. As long as its closer to nba live 10 and nothing like elite its a first day buy from me.
After switching mainly to PC, I dont expect much from consoles these days. I think the screenshots like decent enough to play with. Actually better than I expected.
Icing on the cake would be a PC/vita release but thats a slim chance.Comment

Re: First set of screens for NBA Live 13
the press site for EA does not list a PC version of the game, only Xbox 360 & PS3, there wont be a pc release (i wanted pc version as well), pretty much sealed the deal that there wouldn't be a pc version when i saw madden 13 was console only release as well (vita though), so i hope this comes to vita
I'm thinking of even skipping Sim City 5 because of that online all the time policy....so stupid...
anyway I will most likely be getting this on the PS3 since it's just collecting dust and 2k for 360/PCLast edited by Goffs; 06-04-2012, 08:17 PM.Comment

Re: First set of screens for NBA Live 13
I'm not going to put a ton of stock into this shots, but there's certainly a fair mix of both good and bad. I haven't really been a fan of NBA Live's graphics in the past number of years. They clearly improve season by season, but there's certain intricacies that throws things off and I'm not sure I can pinpoint it. I'm thinking it might be the player models (quite skinny) and the jersey numbers and fonts, for starters.Comment

Re: First set of screens for NBA Live 13
As do I, so if a player looks way off we can have modders fix them up to make them look like their real life counterparts. Like with 2k which is why the player faces never bothered me at all since I can count on the modders. Alas EA's head is so far up it's butt because of hurr durr pirates that they completely abandoned the PC sports market.

Re: First set of screens for NBA Live 13
I played a lot of Live 10, so I became very familiar with Live's player models - in these pics the faces look somewhat improved, but the body models still have that Live trademark of awkward looking arms and torsos, and skinny wrists with over-sized hands.
I thought with all of the extra time, Live would finally revamp their player bodies, but apparently they're still using those awkward body proportions that they've been using since the beginning of this generation.Last edited by blues rocker; 06-04-2012, 08:39 PM.Comment

Yeah just from that 20 second video, it looked like the same stiff player models and that jumper was ugly...Comment

Re: First set of screens for NBA Live 13
i know man, but just like i ripped into live for the old things i seen, i have to do the same with 2k, there is just no excuse for the thunder court to look the same three years in a row now man, that should have been updated, gameplay is good/bad, just need to see CPU/CPU or two people who know 2k.... but i just cant over look the sliding thats going on there... its just crazy to me, i just dont know man, the demo will be my deciding factor this year for sure, but 2k for pc is a must have not because of 2k, but because of the modder community..
i really hope both videos i watch of both games (i know it was not enough to judge) was early, early build) cause im disappointedLast edited by mlp111; 06-04-2012, 10:53 PM.Comment
