People get mad at 2k over their marketing, me included. And I didn't say people should not be critical/ skeptical of EA, but my point was peoples hate for EA blinds them to anything positive the do, controls being one. It's almost trendy to hate EA and back the other game, and that's not limited to here.At one point I was never going to buy another EA basketball again, I got so tired of their crap. But my point is if your EA why show it to people who are just going to look at and point out every little fault while not applauding what you did positive.

I have a great deal of experience with EA as a Senior Moderator, Community Leader, forum member for countless years. EA is good at trying to make fans accepting anything like a cult member. EA is going to use the time excuse. EA is tweaking NBA ELITE and going to go with that game and hope it sells enough to buy them time to get to the Next Generation systems.

I guess since it's close to the end of these consoles, both companies are hosing us over with hype.

B.S. community events, hype over announcements that turn into muddy waters, instead of tropical falls. (Epic Fail)

Now you have company who has been out the loops for 2 seasons, that wants to show limited previews to select outlets. WTF is going on in this industry when it comes to basketball titles.

We are two months away from the release dates and absolutely nothing is being shown, previewed, screenshots that are legit or nothing. Just more 4 to 5 second hype whistles.

I'm getting tired of this crap, poorest marketing in years. Both companies should be ashamed and EA even more, because they have the most to prove to keep interest in their series.

After the competitors announcement I'm about to cancel my pre-order.

Can't even reserve Live 13, because they don't even have enough Gauls and respect to even announce an actual release time or create a reserve sku.

EA I think is taking a good approach to this.

Yeah, they could have released more screenshots or a sizzle trailer, but is that really going to show us anything?

The game is going to be released, unless it's an absolute disaster. EA will release information soon. They won't wait until September.

I'm just happy EA isn't throwing out crazy marketing hype over their game. We've seen what 2k's so called "Great announcement of all-time" has created. All it's created on this board is disappointment and trust issues.

I'm not sure how this Live title is going to be, but I have faith that they can eventually release a solid product in the future.

Completely unnecessary post and no contribution to the thread. There's no reason to throw out crazy assumptions when we haven't even seen the game yet, and haven't really seen much of 2k13 yet even.

No matter what we have to find out about the game, there's gonna be gameplay videos, there's gonna be articles, and there's gonna be trailers. Eventually the game is going to have to speak for itself, no one has to buy this game. Yea they're only showing the game at certain outlets but so what. If the game is garbage its garbage, no article will change that. If the game is good its good no article can change that either.

They would have to start from complete scratch to try beat out possibly the best sports game EVER made?

Instead of making a game that they've already made on next-gen systems.

This is odd EA dvelopers were here at OS prior to elite 11 being shown. Now they don't want to show OS an early view? This doesn't sound good but good or bad the demo and gameplay videos will show what the game is about.

Tweaking? They better be executing a major overhaul. I hope Live eventually makes a decent return, but hiding it from customers and playing the waiting game doesn't seem to be the smartest strategy.

At first I thought this was ridiculous but the more I think about it's alot better than the crap that 2K is pulling with their "Big Announcement". What a major let down IMO. I am glad EA is not hyping the release of Live. And maybe the reason they are not hyping it is becaue it is horrible, I dont know. I guess we will find out soon enough.

I don't blame EA for not inviting certain outlets, especially considering how certain "sites" does nothing but trash their product on a daily basis for the past 3 years now.

Can't wait for Live 13. Day 1 purchase for me!!!
