New Rating system
I'm glad EA switched to going from 0-100 rather than from 50-99 like they used to. Makes much more sense, but i'm having trouble with how some these ratings transfer to on-court play. Van Horn for instance has a default 3pt rating of 66, with the old system he wouldn't be able to hit a thing with that rating, but I played a game and he went 4-4 from 3. Ray Allens 3 rating is 81 or something and he simply hit at will even over the outsretched arms of Vince Carter. So i guess my question is with the new rating system, what is considered average, excellent and just plain out bad? There are some players rated 50 overall that are very good.Tags: None -
Re: New Rating system
i think the 0-100 system is better. i never thought about it but now i will look at ratings differently. thanx bad!
i think an average player would be rated 50 since a player can be zero or a player can be 100.
that's just my opinion. this is why teams where the highest rated player is in the 70's and every other player is 60 or below can be rated as a 70+ overall team.
thanks for making me think about that.F-L-O-R-I-D-A! S-T-A-T-E! Florida State! Florida State! Florida State! Wooooo! -

yeah. i'm a diehard bulls fan but i know better than that. i think this could be the best season we've had in years though.
back on topic. i think the example that you gave speaks to coming to terms with the new rating system. like if you see a player with a 52 3pt rating you would normally be like why the hell did he make that 3. i think someone in another thread put it as that player would shoot three's better than 52% of the players in the league. i will not go through and count the players but that makes since.F-L-O-R-I-D-A! funny, Anthony Carters 3pt rating is 0 lol.

on that note, i was playing against mavs with the nets and danny fortson's 3pt rating is a 0 also. he bombed a 3 on me as the shot clock expired with aaron williams' hand in his face in a game where i was mounting a comeback.
but, that is a different issue.
let me ask you something? even with it's issues don't you still just want to play? my cousin was over here earlier and he would play-get frustrated-play sega gt 2002-get bored-play live then repeat the cycle.
sometimes i will play and get frustrated to the point where i wanna toss my s-controller(i never do toss it anymore though $$$) and sometimes i will just shut the xbox off. about 20-30 minutes later i am loading it up again.F-L-O-R-I-D-A!
