And all the people loved it

as each year it got better and better
By decade's end EA had even championed The first
Licensed college basketball Video Game

Then the millenium came and with it the "next gen of gaming"

But EA Refused to Create titles for the milleniums first next gen system, The Sega Dreamcast, unless they would be the consoles ONLY sports Brand

Sega, along with a small developer 'visual concepts' Had Other Plans

EA sports prepared for another 10 years of Industry Dominance with launch titles in production for both Sony and Microsofts soon to be released consoles and the competition seemingly inferior. EA picked up where it left off when the PS2 and Xbox released, showing much promise for the future of the "cyber athlete"

but throughout the decade the balance of power shifted
as Sega closed its console division and focused soley
on title publishing, buying visual concepts and making
them in house sega sports which would eventually become
2k sports.

and although Sales remained strong throughout
EA's franchises and commericial success
was at an all time high the peoples champ
was turing into the evil corporation

Only becoming worse when EA, Sensing the
discontent with their hardcore fan base tried
to Buy out both NBA and NFL licensees and
cut its competitors legs from under them and
give its own so called "fans" no other option

THAT AINT RIGHT
In one last attempt to Save Grace EA Proposed a Change

so all the fans were like

but then the demo was like

So EA decided to

then 2k was like

and all the fans were like

and now we mourn
RIP EA
