how crazy would it be if they were pulling off what 2k did with NFL 2k5 lol If they actually had a superior game for $20, it would be the greatest kept gaming secret lol

This is sad. What was all the time and effort put into? I was hoping for some healthy competition. So much for that. What I'm hoping for now is that we're jumping the gun and the game is light years ahead of that video.

If this is true, Im not touching Live. I was hoping Live 13 would be a decent game, but putting at $20 seems like waving the white flag. If I were EA, Id release the game as FTP, and have DLC for different accessories, or modes. Selling the game at $20 doesn't mean it will help make the next game better, especially if Live 13 is as bad the video came out.

I predicted this in another thread looks a month or two ago. Out was only right for this move.for them its not a total loss and they can gauge people's reaction to the bare bones version of something they plan on making better. Heck they might even be holding out until next gen.

Honestly I feel sick. The fact that I have given EA all this money over the years with Madden because I have no other choice, then my sport, basketball. the sport I actually play quite a bit and they give me this sheet..... I gonna go vomit now! At least I have weened myself off of FIFA and moved on to strictly PES this year. But With basketball I have owned every US basketball game ever made (and some imports) do I really break the streak?

They need to just shell this game out for free. By the looks of the "pre-alpha" build..theyre not BUILDING atop of a good foundation. those 20$ will be used to reserve my 2k13. If anyone that actually knows basketball decides to give it a go, please post impressions and godspeed. I don't think it will be an arcade game, it might be one of those games on demand ya know? Not that anyone would demand it

They're not charging a full price. And if they're serious about garnering feedback from players, isn't this kind of neat that we could have a possiblility of getting a really awesome Live next year?

i think you're missing the point, they've had 3 years to make this game. All they can release is a digital D'L??? After 3 years?? you gotta be kidding me.

This just locks in 2K as my game i'm spending money on when it comes time.

Smart by EA. Can be a huge pay off. Most people who don't think 60$ is justified for a yearly sports game. 20$ is three times less than the other game and could sway the average buyer who wants a basketball game. If it's a solid game that has a couple of modes and replayablity then I can acutally see this game going for over a million sales combined.

take off you're beer goggles son!!! this game wont crack 50K units.
