NBA Live 13 Has Been Canned

I'm shocked! I don't understand NBA Live has been running since '95 NBA 2K has been runnig since 2000. NBA Live had a 5 year advantage; AND 2 years since NBA Live 10. What's the problem, that something decent can't be put up? THen again with all this said A lot has been going on for EA Sports, and basketball games are not easy to make. Even if NBA Live 14 comes out, NBA 2K14 will likely be bringing back crew and explaning even more. Regarless i was getiing NBA 2K13 anyways, been playing since NBA 2K7! Love the demo!

EA started the "Live" franchise in 1994 with Live '95, but they were making NBA games before that, Bulls vs. Blazers in 1992 and NBA Showdown in 1993.

nevermind they didnt show this so called new game but then call it hate when they had plenty of opportunity to speak up

at this rate konami could reboot in the zone and have better success

I love to interact with the community and I feel like it's very important. I know that we may not get to everything people want, but we'll damn sure try. We have a great team and are all passionate about the game. If you guys are willing to help and contribute then I'm willing to listen!

Are these same kind of people not available here on OS? Specifically the type of guys he's asking for(Online, Presentation, Gameplay).

I felt like Live 10 was a very solid game but you were constantly stuck in 2-man wraps that played way too long. I thought they did a really good job with the overall tempo of NBA basketball. The set up move mechanic was essentially a quick time event that you had to wait to play out.

How much does the NLSC community care about foot sliding? If you look at Live 10 and other games foot sliding is/was everywhere! but the animations looked and essentially felt better. This is what's been really confusing to me with the basketball games this decade. What's more important, the responsiveness or look?

I would think responsiveness is more important, is it not?

Cause the truth hurts. Notice the term "constructive criticism" being used in that post. Things are a little more star eyed elsewhere about Live and spades may not be called spades elsewhere. Here guys call bluffs and don't just go goo goo that a dev is interacting with them. For the most part dev interaction here is respectful but definitely truthful. Damage control isn't about tackling a problem head on but more like creating the illusion that that's what's happening.

I'll tell you what - seeing this makes me think the staff at Tiburon don't take negativity too well.

I have to say - I miss that about EA Canada and Marcus/Yao. Man... these guys would look you in the face and say "tell me what was wrong with the game" even if you didn't agree with them.

I've dealt with groups for different companies and I feel like I just stepped back in time 7 years when EA only wanted feedback from the small communities catered specifically to their game.

Oh give me a freaking break. There are plenty of respectful, knowledgeable posters here and I've met them in person. Guys that like to pop off on the forums don't act the same in real life.

You remember DC? Annoying as heck and spoke his mind in the forum? Guess what - I was shocked at how humble and respectful he was in person.

Stop making excuses. There's a laundry list of guys here who can help out. If anything that list was cut short by their feedback being ignored. And now this approach is going to set EVERYONE back.

You want to improve the game? Try facing a harsh critic for once. We didn't even ask for that here but let's be real.

Lol good for them not coming here. The amount of bashing that's allowed here is ridiculous. Just look at the title of this thread "canned". Why not cancelled? This stems from the top and is allowed to fester here by the mods. If you have good input sign up at the forum and give it. They asked for the good and bad and are willing to listen.

So they claim. Guys here have gone to community days in the past, in a capacity similar to Madden/NCAA Gamechanger program when it was at EA canada, and they weren't listened to.

So this just shows me they want as little criticism coming their way as possible. I bet all critical posts will be deleted. Its the EA forum way. What good will come of it when for one they should KNOW what's wrong and why both elite 11 and Live 13 got **** responses. Its either arrogance, blindness or naivete, possibly a combination of the three.

Besides that little "negativity" line smells as a jab at OS. It also smells of damage control as well but whatever.
