Found a way to stop the Pro Hopping madness

I've noticed a lot of people having trouble with the computers constant use of the pro-hop to force his way through all defenders. Well I found a way to control it. If the computer pro-hops into your defender...hit the Take Charge button. You won't actually get an offensive foul call (that seems impossible this year) but the Pro Hopper will be stopped in place and have to put up a midrange jump shot. So as far as I'm concerned...the Take Charge Button is now the "Pro-Stop" button. Har har har.

but most of the time the pro hop is done near the basket.....so is it effective in the lane?

i've been doing this but what i've also done is lower the free style effectivness to 30! the cpu still shake and bake but the pro hop is less effective. also, try turning the game speed up to 60...
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

I've done this, but with guys like T-Mac and Kobe it doesn't seem to make any difference. They'll either go right over you, or push you to the basket.
