Is this game any good.. I just want your opinions on this game...I have NBA live 2003 and it was a disappointment. Since I own a gamecube, this is the only choice. But I don't want to be stuck with an arcade like game. Anyways... what are the pros and cons about this game?

hopefully this isnt taken as live bashing, but IMHO espn is better.
but its best to try both games and see.
both games have something special, if only they could be fused together somehow... -

Sega Sports no longer puts out games for the Gamecube.
Live is a massive step up from last year. The biggest addition, to me, being the sliders. Fiddle around with them, and you can get the game to play almost exactly the way you want it to. There are some great sliders posted in the NBA thread so you can start with those and tweak to your liking.
If you're really worried about wasting the money, rent it first. An extra 5 bucks to potentially save 50 is worth it to me.Comment

Well like KDRE said... Live 2004 is different from Live 2003, my friend had 2003 on GC and i played it and hated it... this year i played Live 2004 for GC at my friends house and loved it, and i ended up getting it for PC, its a great game.
The atmosphere is great, Marv and the Czar do great commentary, the animations are great. I must say Live 2004 is the most improved B-Ball game this year.
I would recommend it, however if you are still not sure.. give it a rent first.
