CPU fast break....is this a problem?

I got NBA Live for my XBOX for CHristmas and haven;t opened it yet. I borrowed a friends copy for the PC to see if I like the stle of play before I opened the XBOX version.

My initial experience in 2 games at default setting was bad! On just about every shot I missed the CPU team would rebound, heave it downcourt to a teamate or 2 who would dunk it on me. This happened over and over and over again to the point that it seemed ridiculous. Now I know that I have to adjust and learn the game before I make accussations about bugs....but can someone confirm that this is an issue or if the game is ok.

Also.....I have a P4 3GHZ with 2 gig of RAM and an ATI Radeon 9000 video card and the game is choppy at 1024x768. I had to drop down to 800x600 and turn a bunch of details down or off to get it to play smooth...and even then it seems a little choppy...is this normal? I'm sure my system is good enough except for maybe my video card.....any suggestions?

It depends on which team you were playing. I know teams like dallas, houston, etc.. like to run alot. So everytime you shoot the ball, you should not worry about offensive rebounds, just get back on defence.

Icicle, check the sliders thread, and the thread titled I found em talking about team specific styles of play, and how to set htem. You have to use the sliders and not just play on default. Default is arcade, but you can adjust it to be more simlike without editing the players attributes.

thanks.....I'll look into that. I was hoping this could be tweaked. I guess I'll go ahead and break open the XBOX version as I really would like to play on my big screen!

For the xbox version, look at the thread called, for those of us Live players II. It has the team style sets in it. The other one was for the PC version only.
