    possible rebounding solution?

okay, we all know that it is darn near impossible to get an offensive board in this game by editing the sliders. but what about if we edited the player ratings? moved offensive rebounding up say 20 clicks on each player and 20 clicks down for defensive rebounding. it wouldn't even have to be for every player, but it could work. i think i'll give it a shot. i'll post my results. or has anyone already tried this?

I'm almost positive that Monkey has already tried it, but to no avail. It is just a problem with the Rebound AI. I don't think adjusting will fix it.

          Sadly, it doesn't work.

I haven't bought March Madness 2004, but the forums are full of people sayinf MM also has zero offensive rebounding.

It seems to be a problem with the new ten man mo cap...ie, they didn't "film" any offensive boarding.

Ten man mo cap was a huge step forward...so I guess there was always going to be a few flaws. Unfortunately, this is it.

Hoping they fix it for 2005. For me, it was a game killer. No offensive boards from the CPU just changes the whole dynamics of a game of basketball. It's all "one shot and turn around".

                Re: possible rebounding solution?

Isn't the problem so that the players don't even try to get the rebound on offense? That they just stand there and watch? Or is it just that they don't get the rebounds?

If the players don't even try to get the rebounds it's tougher to fix cause it needs AI programming and lots of new motion capping. Not that it won't be fixed but it might take some time that otherwise would've gone to something else

                      You nailed it.

For some reason, they just stand and watch the rebounds in LIVE. It's beyond bad.

I don't know how people don't think that's a game killer...but each to his own.
