    apparently you confused yourself..

    laymans terms...
Logically speaking, do you really in your mind think they were talking about how a player literally puts the ball on the floor instead of how a player uses dribble moves to break down their opponent?

    Yeah....I'M confusing MYSELF....

That's what it boils down to, players fulfilling their own unique personas.

So...you're saying this is what NBA 2K has already? Gotcha.

I know Live has to come up with names for the "Back of the Box" features but they could've picked a better name for this one. They could've even went back to "Freestyle" for all it mattered.

The word "dribble" as far as the rulebook, and the word "dribble" as far as a video game goes are 2 TOTALLY different aspects.

This isnt what 2k has already, because in 2k the ball is tied to the player. Thats why on 2k, you can time your reach in perfect situations, yet you still get called for fouls. I feel like Live will be different. Not better, but different.

Oh you're cool. Now do some reading yourself

              From the article above.....

You can also chain the dribble moves together. For example, to perform a hesitation crossover you would simply flick the right stick to the right, then to the left. By holding down on the L1 button and flicking the right stick in different directions, you will get a signature dribbling animations.

Summary: Chain dribble moves together to get signature dribbling animations.

Meaning a move to try to beat your defender.

              Please shut up now.

You mean the physics behind this? No that isn't what 2K has.

2K does have signature dribbles though, which is what everyone was arguing about. So my point stands.

Ehhh....2k has dribbling PACKAGES. You cant select a "Kyrie" or "CP3" dribbling package on 2k like you can jumpshots. D.Rose doesn't move like D.Rose on 2k.

NBA Live 14 is only releasing for next gen consoles so i wouldn't expect October to be a release date.

Enough dribbling packages to cover 70-80% of the league. It was better last year, but it's still decent.

D-Wade (and any old school player by extension) is absolutely spot on.

Most of those packages work for 80% of the league. Does everyone dribble the same? No, but they dribble similar enough as to make no difference.

The only time you get distinct dribblers is with ELITE ballhandlers. Maybe 10-15 truly unique dribble tempos and change of pace. Everyone else dribbles the same to where it makes no difference.

Again, not saying 2K can't work on that area because they can (they had better packages last year in fact) but I would hold my breath on hoping Live delivers on EVERY single person in the league.

The effect is going to be awfully similar to 2K's dribble packages, I guarantee you that.

I agree with the fact that the packages will probably be similar to 2ks, but as far as what 2k has now, there hasn't been a move or animation that has happened that made me say "Oh that was D.Rose!!" or "That was Kyrie for sure!!" Thats where I feel like Live is gonna execute.

It was a promising read and a good one. Live 14 and synergy seems its going to be a beast. Look forward to seeing how this will make the game play. It will almost be a different experience every hour. But what concerns me is that they are only showing 1 on 1. Nab elite 11 showed amazing in 1 on 1, the dribbling, freestyle, and freedom was great and sounds familiar to what they showed, BUT when they put everything together with 5 on 5, thats where it killed the game. So many people won't be a believer until 5 on 5 gameplay is shown (myself included). but sounds promising. But in my personal opinion, not really enough still to get me super hyped about it.
