    Mid range game

For those who'd like to see the CPU pull up for some nice J's more often...instead of 'pro hopping' to the hoop way too much...

I have been experimenting a bit with the settings and there is a way to get them taking more J's.

Go into coaches settings and match up's.

For the CPU players who are jump shooters in the real NBA... set the defensive pressure to 'loose'.

Yes, I am aware this goes against every basketball lesson you've ever learnt and your old coach would probably turn in his grave...ie, guarding jump shooters 'loosely'...but it's the only way you can get the CPU to pull up regularly for the mid range J in this game.

I experimented playing New Jersey and put Kittles and RJ on loose and both took quite a few catch and shoot + pull up J's.

I did the same with Sac and Peja was taking them freely.

I tried against LA and set Karl Malone to loose and he was taking some nice 17 ft type J's.

Again, it goes against all the laws of playing D...but it's the only way to see anything like a mid range game in LIVE.

Give it a try and post your results

Note - You have to be using the real play set rosters. Otheriwse they just pull up non top for 3's.

PC version has a roster update made by NBALIVE.ORG...includes all team specific play sets.

It's important to use them, or all you get is inside the paint or 3 balls.

You can change them yourself using KDRE's sets.

The PC roster seems to work a tonne better though. I am not sure exactly what they've edited, but NBALIVE.org's roster file plays much better than the xbox.

Still has crucial flaws...they can't fix that...but plays better.

BTW Please put play sets back in your game...Live is okay, ID is very good, but everything would be so much better if ESPN had of been of just built on NBA 2K3

                            - Frank Johnson replaced with Mike D'Antoni (face resembles him, but generic speech)

                            - Dennis Rodman player update (by Tony) included so he has his tatoos and wacky hair

                            - Hand corrected: Adrian Griffin (HOU, Right to Left); Stacey King (92CI, Right to Left)

                            - Salaries and Salary Cap updated to the real life ones (you will need to start a new dynasty to get the new salaries)
                            - Sliders (at the end of this file)
                            - Team sets so teams play like they should
                            - Scott Skiles replaces Bill Cartwright, Johnny Davis replaces Doc Rivers (uses generic face and speech)
