One thing for sure looked better on 13 is their trailer presentation, on Live 14 it's like they did not even try.
Does this Live 13 trailer for current gen look any different then Live 14 next gen?

Dribbling alone? Really? So your telling me your going to invest in a $400 console and $60 game for the dribbling alone, that's funny. You didn't need a next generation machine to get dribbling mechanics implemented properly so I'm confused as to why you would think it will make the game feel next gen? The PS3 was plenty strong enough to get the most fundamental aspect of basketball right which is the dribbling. EA after all is quoted as saying dribbling is 60% of what's being done on the court at any given time. If EA's philosophy is this why did it take so long for them to focus on it. I mean they have only been in the basketball biz for 20 years! They long should have gotten the dribbling right and had they done this long ago they would have been able to focus on other gameplay aspects of Live which are in desperate need of attention.Last edited by tsbmolina; 10-20-2013, 09:45 PM.Comment

The problem is everybody (most) people look at the graphics and automaticly say, "thats next gen" but ignore the lack of innovation in the gameplay. I will judge the graphics but mainly focus on gameplay and how it can be bettered. For example look @ this innovation achieved on current gen.
Backbreaker implemented this engine on current-gen and they said they had to simplify it to run on consoles. For those who hadn't played this game the engine had promise. You always saw something new each game. It was a game not based on canned animations and allowed alot of user input on outcome.
Anyway my point is instead of 2k and Ea focusing on graphics they need to make the game as unpredictable as possible. Because with predictable animations and a.i behavior it makes the game exploitable and easy to beat.Comment

imo, it does look current gen, if EA had maxed out the current gen hardware. For example, 2k6 doesn't look like 2k13.They didn't really get a chance to improve on it, so that's why it looks what it looks like. Just my opinon, not hating.#dairyfreeComment

Why 2k fan boys are just trying to troll about Live 14 over and over again? I am sick of it.
I do love basketball so I am glad we will have 2 NBA titles in next gen. I am planning to purchase and enjoy both of them. Pretty sure Live will also have its strongs points (probably online and ultimate team)...
Cheers! ;-)Last edited by Guard-ian; 10-21-2013, 04:31 AM.Ignorance is Bliss...Comment

It also shares the same awkward animations, gumby graphics, and unrealistic disproportionate player models and I have yet to see ball to rim interaction which has been off and unrealistic in Live for as long as I can remember. I want Live to succeed because I feel competition brings out the best in competing products but I just can't see it happening with this engine Live currently has. I'm just stating what I see with my two eyes.Comment
