Re: NBA Live 14 Feedback/'15 Wishlist Thread
Fouls can also tied into the flow of a game. Without fouls, I'm resorted to calling timeouts just to sub players in and out.
Having a dead ball would help get fresh guys in and also go just so it doesn't look like you're playing a pick up game.Moderator

Since I bumped up to allstar I'm seeing a few more on both ends but not enough. While they fix this tune down contested made shots also.

Can we have an option for 20 or 60 second timeouts. The time given isn't enough to make adjustments.

Re: NBA Live 14 Feedback/'15 Wishlist Thread
Re: NBA Live 15 Wishlist
- I would like to have the Hot Spots from Live 08 but in another way. I didn't like the idea of watching it during the game with a button, I think it would be nice to have an option to see every players Hot Spots at a Team Management section on the menu.
- A Franchise Mode was similar to NFL Head Coach 09 or at least have some of its features like different interpretations of player ratings according to the system, philosophy, or team the players are on,trade/free agent acquisition auction system, player behavior that players have different personality traits and characteristics that affect how they perform and how happy they are, more authentic pre draft and draft according to the team needs.
- Hot and cold streaks could help in Dynasty by adding some strategy to the mode by choosing between putting the best players at that moment (and players that have chemistry or fit the system) instead of putting the players with the best overall on the starting 5 or not, those streaks would affect players ratings depending on player's consistency ratings.
-It could be interesting is if on Dynasty our European draft picks could play in Europe a couple of years if there isn't the urgency of having them now, or not signing some players but having their rights which could be used in trades.
-The ability to choose full or 20-second timeouts.
-Revamp the Draft on Dynasty mode, only choosing five players to scout once is stale, shallow and lack any kind of interest in trying to rebuild via drafts. Let us scout players like previous Live games and bring more life to the draft like Madden 25.
- The ability to recruit free agents similar to how was done on previous NCAA Football games.
- To have the ability to know how the upcoming draft classes are going to be in the next few years (weak, normal or strong).
- Have the ability to create a team and have the option to use it as an expansion team. Maybe they could create the option like Fifa's Creation Center or NCAA's Teambuilder.
- Have the option to choose to begin Dynasty mode as an Assistant Coach and have limited things to do. If you perform well you can be offered to be HC of some team.
- To receive offers from other teams offering salary and staff point on Dynasty Mode, it was like a reward for my work in my opinion.
- I liked the new coaching adjustments during games but I'd like to have a better differentiation between coaches in regards to their talent and abilities, like Gregg Popovich should be more valuable in the game by making adjustments during the game (defensive matchups, abuse offensively certain weakness from the other team, more offensive plays) than a rookie coach for example. I think coaches should be important in Live which could affect how we play games, even in dynasty mode by selecting coaches with different offensive schemes, philosophy, characteristics, strengths and weaknesses.
- I believe there needs to be something to avoid unrealistic moves with some players who aren't able to use them. I believe that players, besides having ratings and DNA, should have something similar to skill move ratings like FIFA but for each type of move. This would highlight each players go to move and abilities more, making it more real and make people avoid trying to pull out moves with any player. Besides this could be used to have different animations for each ability, an animation when the player can't make the move, an animation when the player can do it with difficulty, an animation when the player can do it fluently (in this category there could be signature animations for the elite players that can do it well). This could also be used on Dynasty and Rising Star modes, spend the off season trying to develop some go to moves with a specific player (in Rising Star your player).
Those are some ideas for now, I may add some more later.Last edited by Ermolli; 01-19-2014, 10:38 PM.Comment

NBA Live 14 Feedback/'15 Wishlist Thread
^Commenting on what you had said in the presentation category, I love that NCAA football 14 had that ESPN ticker. If EA added that into Live 15, it would be awesome. It helps so much with the immersion and makes you feel like your watching a real game on TV. It's a no-brainer considering they have the license and all.

Re: NBA Live 14 Feedback/'15 Wishlist Thread
Re: NBA Live 15 Wishlist
No. 1 thing for me, before they ever think about any basketball-strategy aspect, is to fix the way players running. There is no way players should be running as if their pants are on the ground (yeah, they're looking like FOOLS!). And NBA players on a fast break (those that actually run, and there are many of them) can cross the court to the other side in about 3 dribbles - not 6-7 like in Live 14. THAT SHOULD BE NO. 1. Work on it 6 months if you need to (judging from the past, it should take them 3-4 years), just do it...please!
No. 2, player interaction shouldn't look like it's a PS2 game. Seriously, seeing players back down in the post and then spin all over the place and finish with an animation that look like it's from 2005...come on! There was no room for it in Live 07 - and there is definitely no room for it in Live 15 (or 14).
Improve the physics, it's light years behind. It can be great with a lot of work.
SpoilerSeriously, I feel like they can improve a lot and release a much better game but choose not to. Can't find any other explanation. Please choose to make it great. It's in your hands. My Specs:

Re: NBA Live 14 Feedback/'15 Wishlist Thread
Re: NBA Live 15 Wishlist
that's a great list! I would add:
1. ultimate team play from live 10 where you could pick 10 players from the league and just ball out in an empty gym. i've had some of my best live moments in this mode
2. player models that actually stand up straight, get rid of that live hunch every one has.
3. Varying sense of speed and purpose. for instance when lance Stephenson pushes the ball off of a rebound, he runs with a purpose. to adjust his dribble to keep up with his tempo he kinda throws the ball out in front of him.
4. More physics. More, More, MORE, MORE, and MORE PHYSICS. Developers shouldn't make decisions. physics should. create laws and let the game decide.
5. loosen, the dribbling controls. (Hope that makes sense.) in my opinion they're too tight. in fact make sliders for that. (in fact make sliders for everything.)
6. Give the gamers some tools let US help you make your game better! every xbox1 is a dev kit. we can and are totally willing to help make this game better. you guys can surely use the help
7. add more dead ball interactions. again, no cut scenes. each basketball event should be an open world sandbox. just camera angles pick up certain events. study actual NBA events, (ESPN has all the footage you need) and implement that into the open world environment.
8. to elaborate you know how in GTA you can just stop moving and the world goes on around you. people interacting, you hear cars going by, people convo's as they pass by. build a basketball world inside the arena and let it just play out how just life would. live should the equivalent to playing a tennis match in GTA V. if GTA can do it on last gen tech, you can do it on current gen tech.
9. figure out a way to motion capture from video. ESPN and the NBA vaults have footage from every NBA game in the last 20 years. figure out a way to motion capture from their archives.
10. also use that footage to learn the routines of an average NBA event. players come to the floor, warm up, stretch with trainers, shoot around, some opposing players meet up at the ball rack at center court shake hands say what's up. (you guys were on to this with live 10, similar to how you came in the gym and everyone was chilling, interacting, and shooting around). then it progresses to lay up lines, the refs come out stretch, captains meet in the center, teams shoot around for a little more then they go for their final team huddles. then the show begins. but this should all be live. skippable, but live.
11. have a dive button for loose balls.
12. after a call you should use the time between the foul call and the referee going to the table to make the call to show emotion for the call, this way you can get technicals in the game. for instance say I drive to the rim and get fouled, if a press a afterwards it should show a celebratory response. if I press b, it should be like you better have made that call. if I press b after enough times the ref should get fed up and T me up! if I stroke his ego enough I can get an iffy call in there
13. the ability to draw up plays in a create a play section.
14. every animation should be interruptible, I also would like to see shot strips. for instance, driving the lane great defenders instead of going for the block on the close out, strip the ball during the shooting motion.
15. the defensive assist shouldn't exist. the player should just contextually sit down in his stance as he gets closer to the ball handler. its all about angles.
I obviously have too much free time, and maybe too ambitious, shrugs that's what wishlists are for I guess.Last edited by ifitbeginsitends; 01-21-2014, 04:33 PM. Reason: format thats easier on the eyes, added somethingsComment

Re: NBA Live 14 Feedback/'15 Wishlist Thread
I know it's a minor complain or request compared to all the important issues EA needs to address but I'd like to have more variety in jerseys from the different teams, it's really lacking compared to 2K or even old Live games like 2005. I think it'd be nice to have several more than now for collecting and using on Ultimate Team and to have some option to use alternatives or retro jerseys as home and away on Dynasty Mode like replacing 90's Suns jerseys for the current ones for example.Comment
