The sad thing is that holding down turbo is just one of the three ways you can get to the rim at will in this game.

The hop step and euro step will also get you a free path to the rim every time, regardless of the player matchup, coaching settings or difficulty settings.

So to me, it looks like the live defenders have 3 choices here:

1. Admit that they were wrong about live being the best sim (like that will ever happen.)

2. Ignore this video, and act like it never happened.(most likely scenario.)

3. Find a way to spin it, and show how everything that happened was actually because the youtuber's natural BBIQ kicked in without him even knowing it, and everytime he ran down the court, the BBIQ gods were guiding him, kind of like in "angels in the outfield."(Another likely scenario).

Seems like they've gone with option number 2 thus far (strategically of course, obviously no other way for a live player). A wise choice IMO, as it may leave them with a little bit of dignity.

I don't feel sorry for them because this was already known about the gameplay. They danced around whenever someone mention paint defense and lack of contact. So now can we put to rest saying live 14 is more sim. For me this issue alone takes it out the conversation.

I sure wish I could go over to the 2k boards and trash that game without being banned. Oh well, I still like Live quite a bit. I'm having fun and that's all I wan't in video games. Every sports game don't have to be ultra realistic. I've been playing video games for a long time, from double dribble on NES. That game was fun and so is Live 14.

Nobody is in here saying you can't have fun with whatever you want, it's your money and ultimately your opinion. But some are coming in here and saying Live is the most sim basketball game and how it plays better than 2k and then claiming it's more sim for them because they have better BBIQ's than everyone else is just asinine.

Most of us in here want to see live succeed, and there wouldn't be so much sarcasm in here if it wasn't for posters turning a blind eye to everything and having to deflect every single little thing that's wrong with Live, everyone else sees problems, but others have to try to make up anything just to justify it. Every game has it's flaws, but you can't act like your game is perfect and try to prove to the majority of people that unrealistic plays are all apart of sim gameplay.

Cause it would make your life complete, right? Doesn't seem to stop your other account(s). There are plenty of trolls over there. Oh, wait. Are we talking about 2K again!?!? How did THAT happen? I'm shocked. For the life of me, I just can't figure out what this has to do with 2K.

But seriously, the rest of your post is a serious breakthrough. If you're having fun, that's GREAT! Just say that. Don't try to say the game is this realistic sim and has this incredible depth that is just so rich, that only the trained eye of a basketball expert can see it. That's why I liked your post. You pretty much said it: "OK, it's not realistic. I just like it. I have fun with it!" Done. No argument. Job well done by EA in that regard.

Hey king you make some great points an the game does play sim if you choose to, just some people are gonna hate or be ignorant no matter what. It's like going into a bar and telling people drinking is bad for your liver. All they care about is drinking they don't want to hear the truth. Even if they know it's somewhat true they don't want to admit it, they're having too much fun with the liquor to change.

So I commend you, I still like the game and after watching a few streams it seems like the game is getting better from a game play standpoint and people are starting to play more sim. As the days go on we'll probably see better content as far as gameplay.

this reply is getting realllll old. "dont say other people dont have basketball knowledge"

stop it. if you have such great hoop knowledge. PROVE IT. all i hear is whine.. whine..whine. its okay to whine at first. then try to critique without just whining.

i'm looking in that other live thread about how to fix it. most of the post in there. are the same here and every where else in the live section. whine, whine, and more whine. whining may get you an EA apology. but whining without giving the EA team what they need to CORRECT. will not get you any where. which makes me wonder if you even care about the game at all to begin with. and if you dont. then the only reason you're in here is to troll people who do actually care about the game. i'm not saying you in particular but in general.

i got all kinds of issues with 2k. but i wont just cry and say "i hate 2k, it sucks. or i dont like it." i will tell you exactly why i dont like this or that, why i think this part is legit and this part isnt. and how i believe they need to work on this part or that part, and keep this part because this part is great the way it is. thats how you get the games to be created more to your liking. just crying wont get us anywhere. and no i dont care how much you've spent on the game. cry at first then start trying to come up with ideas of how it could be fixed or at minimum make list of items you have that are incorrect with the game.

and one last time. stop it with the 'we have basketball knowledge too.' oh really. well show us then. apply your hoop knowledge to live and what works like sim and what doesnt. apply it to 2k with what works like sim and what doesnt.
