Computer is always doubling teaming post players...

For whatever reason the computer AI refuses to stop double teaming a good post player even though a wing player is red hot. I've played a few games in my dynasty mode where the computer will go on and double a post player while leaving Ray Allen wide open for 3's literally the whole game. Just trying to bring this to the devs attention when they patch the game.

a video of Ray Allen dropping his 60 points...it's ridiculous

I love how the defenders casually walked back to defend Ray Allen.

    "You go"
    "No, you go"
    "NO, YOU GO!"
"fine...I'll go [please shoot the ball already Ray]"

hahaha, it was honestly like that and in case anyone was wondering the first game was on all star and the second on superstar.

pretty bad. did you change the defense? try to do this and see what happens. change how you play the post players in general. you may need to turn off doubling in the post. vs leaving it on auto. you may need to choose to give "the star" special treatment or "the hot hand" special treatment when setting up your defense.

if that doesnt work you will know its completely broken in that regard.

WHAT MADE you turn the game difficulty up on a game you have never played before, thats supposedly not using the same engine as 3 or 4 years ago?

under normal circumstances of the game being produced every year. i will like you throw it on allstar, superstar. but the fact we dont even know what this game is. lol. i wouldnt touch a single setting aside from turning on the auto motion.

there's a reason i do this. i learned my lesson a long time ago. all upper modes are not created equal.

there are times when a game is developed where the default mode is the best mode to get the best most realistic results. any mode below or above that will give you a lot more unrealistic results. which fuel a lot of complaints. live isnt the first to have this issue.

now there are other times where the default settings are on semi easy to the "pick up and plaY" crowd wont cry about "its too hard...."

nba live may have just made their default pro settings the most sim of the options you have.

Many gamers do this. It's not unheard of.

This shouldn't happen on any difficulty, wow

boiler thanks for the reply but i wasnt asking you. i said in my post why some people do it. this is not a normal situation.

nba live hasnt been out for years. its basically a brand new game.

people dont turn up the settings in a game they have never played before. they THOUGHT because this has the name of a game i've known in the past that it was the same game it isnt. it could easily be called operationsports basketball 14 by EA. lol. its not the same game was my point. and if thats the case treat it like you dont know what it may do if you leave it on default. play it first. then if you need to switch, switch it up and raise the bar or lower it.

i agree thats not the point. the point was it may not happen on the default difficulty.

a lot of over the top stuff happens in most if not all games once you turn the settings up really high. because they make the cpu over compensate to attempt to simulate more difficult play.

one last question. after watching the video. were you scoring a lot with your big man prior to that double teaming? if so they may be over compensating because you started out hot down low.

How would constantly leaving your 3 point shooter wide open be simulating more difficult play though? I could possibly see your point if the game is on rookie...

Even then, the A.I, Synergy, something should kick in...these are full blown double teams that are occurring...

I don't disagree. I'm just saying many gamers do things that seem kinda odd. That's all. I don't try to figure out why. I doubt they can tell you.

Actually, I thought about that when I watch the video. No, he was not going off with the bigs. The stats are shown and it was happening early in the game. Even so, if you double, why bring it from the shooter? Or the frontside for that matter.
