Re: Are you done with NBA Live now?
So how does one's daughter actually break the disc? It would seem like there probably is some "contributory negligence" on the part of the parent contributing to that incident!

Re: Are you done with NBA Live now?
Well with 2k13, she moved my 360 while I was playing ...so of course had a fine circular scratch around the disc...
This time, I'll spare you the details, but apparently putting my game back in its case after gaming is something I'll have to make sure I do...
Hey, ish happens...Comment

Re: Are you done with NBA Live now?
One day, may be 10 years, you'll lose the console, it could go offline and could crash. So you will lose the ability to play the digital game.. Eventually, but if you got a disc you'll always have the abilityTwo things: this is why I love digital copies. No friggin disc to scratch, break, or lose. Second, you may be able to send your disc to 2k to be replaced. But seriously, it really is time for us to move away from disc.
On topic: yeah I'm done until I see a major patch. Or if I want a good laugh.Comment

Re: Are you done with NBA Live now?
I bought this horrible game when I bought my ps4. In my angst at getting the final console at target that day, I accidentally bought this pos versus nba2k14. When I finally popped it in to play it today, I was shocked at everything that was missing. I own the Xbox 360 version of 2k14 and I was simply shocked at all of the missing features. No camera control, no control over sliders, etc.... Then I discovered what I did!
This pos is going back ASAP and a new copy of 2k14 for my ps4. I feel so dirty! EA shouldn't be allowed to make a basketball game they are so far behind the curve. The game is virtually unplayable.Comment

Re: Are you done with NBA Live now?
That is exactly why I tend to favor discs. Further, with a disc copy, I can always bring it over to a friend's house, trade it in, or sell it.

Re: Are you done with NBA Live now?
Losing the console doesn't lose the game. Get a new console and re-download the game. Sorry man, there is no legal, practical advantage to disc outside of not having to wait on a download and rice space. But most games install to the hard drive anyway because disk drive are slow as hell.

The reason he gave doesn't hold up. Now, your resale reason does if that's your thing.

Re: Are you done with NBA Live now?
There's no resale value in annual sports titles. You go trade it in or sell it, its not even worth six bucks. Thats because its year to year and it loses value when newer tech is evolved. If Elite 11 came out, not much people would favor it over live 14. That's just how it works.
Now, sport games with hof, top 5 players might be worth it. Like MJ, lebron james, shaq even(the genesis of neext gen bball) but covers with say, KG? lol chris paul? nah. not collectibles. Especially that 3 year stretch from 2k8-2k10#dairyfreeComment
