O’Brien also explains how the team prioritized its efforts during the development cycle. “We felt authentic gameplay, control and the connected experience would provide the best foundation for the future,” he writes. “As a result, game visuals and animation polish suffered. Improvements on these fronts are also in development now for NBA LIVE 14. You will notice in the coming weeks and months that the game’s visuals and animation will improve significantly.”

Sean O'Brien still part of NBA Live?
This quote was over two weeks ago and absolutely nothing since. I read on another forum he was removed from the game. Is it true? I.e. this quote wasn't received well by those higher up. Hopefully wrong, but he's not said a single word since this. If they actually are working on fixing things, it would be a good idea to actually keep people updated. My 2K copy has bug after bug, I have $60 here if EA actually guarantee they are doing this. Again, just what I read elsewhere = he is gone and so is the 'promise'.

What forum did you get that info from, if you don't mind me asking? I would not be surprised if that were true. The EA suits have micromanaged this game into a constant failure where the damage is near irreparable. Their vision for this franchise is a very questionable. Sean O' Brien's apology letter probably was not received well because it probably brought more bad publicity along with there NCAA football game being canceled, and them being sued and losing for using players likenesses. Nba Live has a shaky future. How can you mess up again when you had three or four years to create a proper vision for this game? -

This deserves to be repeated. EA is ignoring this stuff and it's just not acceptable. You all should put this in your sigs until they at least comment. You were promised DAILY art updates.

a break after a problematic launch? I really doubt it. I mean, its not entirely his fault. If your parent company gives you ****ty time to prepare than you get a ****ty product. This is like the GM firing the coach, when the gm failed to make the moves to get good players. how is the team supposed to win, if the gm doesn't give the coach the best options to win? That's what ea did. they didn't give the dev team the enough opportunity to work on this game. I think even 2k had a 2 year cycle. Devs here only had one. On next gen no less. Shame on ea.#dairyfreeComment

The silence is deafening. I don't want to sound negative, but I'll be very, very surprised if this game gets a patch and any art updates. Again, people considering buying the game should know what to expect. At this point, the lack of sales and absolutely brutal reviews look like they have simply moved on. You can't make a public statement like "in the next few weeks we are going to be communicating with the fans, updating the game with new animations and graphics and I am going to be online making sure all this is done" and then disappear.
You simply can't do that in modern business where communication is available to you with your customers 24/7. Yet, we've not heard a word for almost a month.Comment
