Question about NBA Live servers/Demo v Final build.

Can you actually play against your friends? How drastically has the gameplay changed (on final release) compared to demo. IMO, the demo leaves much to be desired.

How are the roster updates? Does Synergy really enhance the experience. I think 2K is the superior final product--what it does well, it does really well. But I'm confused as to why I can't play with my chosen friends (with whom I know I'll get a good experience) or do things I expect from this bball game. As a predominantly online player (leagues included) I'm frustrated. I didn't realize until now how limited leagues are.

Note: this isn't a thread to compare to the other major title. Also, I'm not trolling. I'm legitimately curious.

I think you can play a best of 7 online against friends

some players really do play like how they play in real life

roster updates aren't updated as of now

Not by much. The game is what it is. Some people want to believe the demo is a far cry from the full game. What they don't realize is that the demo IS the full game with some stuff being active and some things not. And nick also conveniently failed to mention that many players play nothing like they do in real life. Not saying the game is this or that. Just giving you more of the WHOLE picture here.

To answer the question, the demo does not have the bug fix 1 or bug fix 2, and it's running off of an early synergy update. Go into the impressions thread, and you'll see quite a few guys talking about really seeing Synergy shine as of late. I feel it's easily worth the $60. If you can enjoy the demo, you will enjoy the full version I'm sure. The demo doesn't have Auto Motion offense, which will make your guys, and the CPU guys not stand around waiting for a play call. They will go into a motion type offense, cuts, screens, etc.

In response to players not playing like they do in real life, to each their own. Dirk torched me in MANY different ways. CP3 ate me alive with 20+ pts and 8+ assists in the first half. Stephon Curry was attacking me off the dribble for mid range jumpers, taking it to the whole, running off of screens, you get the story.

I've yet to play a game since the bug fixes and Synergy updates that the teams/stars haven't played like themselves.


That's the latest game against the GSW that I played with my Kings. Great experience. David Lee was a rebounding machine off of some of the misses, mainly Iguodala's.
