Im going to have to stop this. Every comment that is not a positive is not a troll comment. Im starting to get concerned with this mindframe that everyone who has played the game has to say its nice or give a glowing review or they're a troll.

You might not believe it but outside of this little bubble there are alot more people who dont like the product they got than those who do.

I don't care if we agree or disagree, but the word troll is starting to become an abused word on this forum and it should not be a basis for people jumping on other people's heads for their opinion right? Like it or not, agree with it or not that is his opinion.

i never said that no one is allowed to have an opinion. and i rarely use the term "troll". but this thread was asking how to get the most enjoyment out of the game.

Do you guys have any tips on how to best enjoy this game and really get the most out of it? Also, how is Dynasty Mode in Live?

that is what the op asked. the post i quoted basically just said the game is not good and the other game is better. that adds nothing to the conversation whatsoever and is most definitely trolling.

I'm a broken record here, but it needs to be known I really and truly wanted to throw this game out the first day I bought it. I totally gave up and said I hated Live and would never go back to it again.

Amazing what a few weeks did to change my mind with the little tweaks, and of course learning a bit more how to play. I can finally enjoy myself with this game, and in some ways, I actually have more fun with it than I do with 2k. I say this again to reintorate to know I was 100% hating on this game and at the beginning, I was agreeing with all the bad reviews out there, but with patience, and seeing the tweaks they make since launch, you can find enjoyment in this game if you have any love for NBA basketball. In fact, I'm going to go play it now.

for me it is about the original post. i am interested in hearing what other people do to get the most out of the game. so when i see a new post i come in to the thread to see what was said. his post said the other game is better and this game has no life. that has nothing to do with this topic.

im not trying to do the mods jobs by any means. and im not trying to censor anyones opinions. but if i wanted to read "the other game is better i dont like this one" i would go to the impressions thread.

he also basically posted the same thing as the second reply to the op:

It's not a good game. The lack of fluid game play makes it hard to enjoy.

so the question was how can i get the most enjoyment from this game? his answers: its bad you cant enjoy it and the other game is better.

whatever i wont say anything more about it.

No one asked for the guys comment, so him coming in this forum and saying that Live is terrible or bad compared to 2k was not necessary. If he doesn't like the game fine, but if he just came in here to purposefully trash Live to me is "trolling". It didn't add any value to the conversation so the post was pointless.

ya can't keep all the trolls away. they are on every thread, every sports game, you'll find haters for 2k too. I just ignore.

This thread is not dedicated to what you want to see and like. As I said he explained himself and even if it was a trashing post he did a poor job of it.

Im not going to argue. You don't have a basis as a poster to ask people what they're doing here and then proceed with name calling.

The site has rules so abide by that and there is a way we deal with a bunch of things none of which is what just happened

We all have different opinions, but I just didn't see the need for him to write a post like that in here(the impressions thread is the place for that). LOL, so much for my first time here at these forums and finding a thread which basically described my situation. I just bought the game too and I'm getting killed by the AI. I can't seem to get open and forget about driving. I'm playing it like it's 1950 with a bunch of set passes until I can draw a double and kick it out for a jumper. That's about the extent of my offense. Defense I can't stop jack. Once they get the ball inside you can pretty much put two on the board because if they miss they usually get it back and throw it down like Shaq.

As far as the guy who posted he didn't like it I really don't see anything wrong with that. I guess he's warning the guy. Where I think he does go into troll mode is to comeback the next day and post another "I don't like" message. I think everyone got it the first time. Someone said he posted and left, well actually he posted and left, came back again, posted and left just makes one wonder what's the score for tomorrow. lol

Back to topic though. Help a dude out! I just returned 2K (excuse, "It's broken" lol and Best Buy gave full refund because they didn't have another copy of 2K in the store so I got live for the sale price and 20 bucks back)
I figure I can probably pick up 2K later on down the line once they sort out their issues and probably cheaper than it is now. But I'm having a rough go at it I have to admit. No practice mode kind of makes it tough.

Also any reason why the baseline cameras are so choppy? Seems like the game breaks down to 30fps when using those cameras and those are the only ones I can play with. Sideline, or TV style, I just can't play that way. Maybe I should because since I'm starting new anyway might as well use this same time to get used to camera mode.

I could care less that the guy doesnt like Live. But to say either virtual bball game to this day plays a better brand of basketball than the NBA is hilarious.


To the OP, play sim and use the double team button to stop low post cpu offense.

the baseline camera framerate drops is a known issue. hopefully its something they can get worked out soon although im not sure if that can be fixed with a patch.

ive been playing with the espn camera and its actually pretty fun once you get used to it. it also looks nicer since its more of an actual broadcast view. but yea its definitely hard to get used to coming from 4 straight years of the 2k cam.

So I got sick and tired of the other game being broken and went and bought this game tonight to give it a shot. My thoughts:

Gameplay wise Live is better IMO. Basketball is a smooth, fluid game for the most part and in lots of basketball video games the product you see resembles more Sunday evening old man pick up league than the finest players in the world. Everything is clogged and bodies are constantly slamming into each other. However on Live it is different. Spacing is good and players have that fluidity I am looking for. Controls feel smooth, nothing is clunky and I really enjoy shooting with a face button again.

Graphics and modes Live lags behind but I can live with that because the rest of the product is so smooth. In fact I tried to switch to the other game but switched back to Live because everything was so clustered up.

Another thing, I have always been a dynasty only guy, so I started one right at the beginning to see how that would play out. I simmed to January and saw that Paul George had been traded straight up for Mayo! The interesting side of this though is that for the first time I am actually enjoying playing exhibition games. Which is something that I have never experienced before.
