If you compare to games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Assassin's creed (which is basically a port) then the game looks bad to be NG.

I don't want to bash the game because I haven't played it, but looking at the clips function on xbone I was honestly shocked, from the gameplay camera views it looked like a ps2/xbox game. The arms of some players looked like polygon boxes and the elbow joints were hilarious.
I have no idea how they released a game that looks like that on NG. It's actually unbelievable to me.

Looking at the clips is out of bordeom to me though since there isn't much available on NG, which makes me think they just wanted to release SOMETHING because they would cash in due to the lack of products availalbe.

i really dont understand how people are so hard on the graphics. its obviously not on the same level as ng 2k14 but i honestly think it looks better from the broadcast camera than nba 2k14 on pc.

Comparing this games graphics to a PS2 game is an exaggeration...but some of the animations are on par unfortunately.....

I had the AI from the post: jump sideways, shoot forward like a normal jump shot, yet the ball went off the side of his hand and to the rim....or you look at the Jared Dudley move in the Clippers video I posted...

That's just a lack of attention to detail by this Live team...haven't seen that kind of stuff since Live 06...

The graphics and animations need serious upgrading in Live 15 if they want to be taken seriously. The ignite engine brags about having true player motion and living worlds. After playing this game for awhile that is far from the case, and EA lied about the ignite engine in my opinion. I'm not even going to touch on human intelligence because that is for another thread. I won't buy or support Live 15 if they don't make these necessary improvements on these newer more powerful consoles.

I am actually of the opposite opinion - I think it looks mediocre at best from the ESPN cam. Once you zoom in, on replays in particular, I feel like the graphics improve significantly. Some of the player faces, and quite a few of the animations need improvement - but folks saying it looks worse than Live 10 just need to stop...

I don't think they need to "stop." Live 10 isn't a bad looking game at all. I also think it looks better than Live 14. The courts may be a tad better in 14, but that's about it.

Mmm, I think in certain aspects Live 10 looks better like player models, player faces overall, crowds, animations (if you count that as graphics), for example. NBA Live 10 was in my opinion a good looking game (although in certain aspects not that realistic) and one could argue that it still is, Live 14 isn't that much better which if it was released on PS3 and Xbox One it wouldn't be that bad but this game was released four years later on a next-gen console which one would expect a graphical advance, one of the reasons why people can be disappointed and say it isn't graphically good.

Isn't that a modded NBA 2K14? At least it is with the TNT scoreboard. It looked much better than I thought, definitely compared to how I can play it on my laptop

i dunno maybe im weird. my 2k14 pc looks better than those screens but i still think live 14 looks better. my own personal opinion of course. i just feel it looks more realistic from the broadcast angles. up close its hit or miss.

Its definitely modded and not really fair to compare the two unless you could mod a pc version of Live.

I don't think anyone is saying Live blows 2K out of the water. I just wish people would stop arguing with people who say they prefer Live's graphics.

Also saying the game looks like a PS2 game is a huge exaggeration. PS3 I can see, but PS2, just stop.

Yeah it's modded. The way I read the statement I was assuming he was addressing a modded 2K game since 2K on the PC doesn't really standout as looking better than the console versions pre-modding. Otherwise he could have just said looks better than CG 2K.

i was playing a game tonight and my girlfriend walked in the room and said she didnt know the cavs were playing tonight. she actually thought it was a real game on tv.
