Should I? Why?
I'm really thinking about picking this game up. Some say it's really bad, but I don't want to believe it. I've seen a lot of videos and yes I saw some errors, but I also saw some really good basketball. I'm wondering what are the upsides? Gameplay wise, mode wise etc. Thanks for the tips."I'll tell you there is still a little Vinsanity left in Vince"

Re: Should I? Why?
For me it feels like NBA basketball. The spacing is gorgeous and it plays at a good pace. It has some very nice little touches that help with emersion (see the little things thread). It's one of the few EA games where it doesn't feel cheap when your loosing.
It has flaws sure, but it's getting better all the time. -

Read the impressions thread and then make your decision. I think it plays a great game of basketball. If you can accept its flaws you should enjoy it very much like i do and the rest of the guys who play it. Also try the demo if you can.

Re: Should I? Why?
Try to find the best deal for this game if you are going to buy it. In that case if you don't like it, then you did not shell out as much cash. The game plays like basketball and has decent spacing like all Live games in the past. I think they could have done a much better job all around with this game on these new generation consoles because they needed to be loud after being gone so long. At the end of day its your decision.Comment

Re: Should I? Why?
i think it plays a very good game of basketball. the biggest issue i have with the game is how much the cpu abuses the paint. outside of that im having a great time with the game and it feels like nba basketball.Comment

Re: Should I? Why?
Thanks guys. Well the cheapest I can get it is from Xbox Live Marketplace, but that's okay since for the me it means it's gonna cost 25-30 bucks less than any boxed game here. I was kind of disappointed with next-gen 2K even if it looks really and so on. I just think I see some potential in this game. Some say it's a bit arcadeish and like all you said plays like basketball. I like a good dunk and a good match. I think I'm gonna watch some videos and read the impressions thread then. Thanks guys. Anybody played Ultimate Team? Other thing I don't like is when injured players are really injured in the game and can't be used at all. Like Derrick Rose in 2K (he is one of my favorite players). Is it so here? Or there is an option to at least use him in offline games?Last edited by Rewmac; 01-19-2014, 04:06 PM."I'll tell you there is still a little Vinsanity left in Vince"

Re: Should I? Why?
There is an option to use injured players if you move them into the starting lineup fro the inactive list before the game.

Can someone tell me how hard it is to dunk from a ran play? Like can you posterize players if you have the momentum? Because I hate when in 2K Next Gen the animation cancels out because someone ran next to the player going for the dunk.Last edited by Rewmac; 01-19-2014, 05:38 PM."I'll tell you there is still a little Vinsanity left in Vince"

Re: Should I? Why?
You'll definitely be able to dunk in traffic from half court sets...don't have to worry about many contact animations getting in your way...Comment

Also to the OP I am with you on the gameplay over graphics!!Comment

Re: Should I? Why?
As an aside to this though, I played a game the other night and I felt the dunks had been tweeked nicely, yes it's possible to dunk from the half court set but I felt the dunks were a little more realistic now. I have also seen an animation where a dunk is realistically altered into a different shot it goes back to what I said about the game not feeling cheap.
Also to the OP I am with you on the gameplay over graphics!!
It's been tuned, still too many for my liking,...smaller players still win too many mid air interactions...
Guess it's up to how many you can deal with...Comment

Re: Should I? Why?
I tried the demo. So far it feels really different. Graphics are really good. I still need to get used to it. My problem is with the camera. Sometimes I don't see the ball and of course I couldn't break-in from 1-on-1 situations. I like it. It feels challanging and different sweet basketball. I'm going to buy this for sure."I'll tell you there is still a little Vinsanity left in Vince"
