What Shooting Settings Do You Use?

Skill plus ratings based, or purely ratings based?

I've been using default which is skill plus ratings. But I'm contemplating strictly skill based. I just can't seem to find any consistency with default. I'm consistently getting shooters wide open looks because of CPU double teams. But Joe Johnson continues to be a brick mason! I've gone into the shoot around and was able to hit most of my J's. But game time is a whole different story!

Using skill plus rating since I bought the game. Surprised though, didn't know there was an option for skill only.

I utilize the ratings only setting. I tried ratings plus skill but I just couldn't buy a bucket. I definitely need to put more time into the Shootaround mode but even then I am still used to using ratings only.

Speaking of shooting, how in the world do you hit that hook shot down in the post, I am great with jump shots but good lord that is the hardest shot to hit in the game.

Who are you usually doing the post hooks with? It really depends on the skill of the player you are using. Big difference between using Tim Duncan and Javale McGee.

I dropped the ball on this one, I could of sworn there was a skill only option. My bad!

I use rating only. I tried going back to skill after the patch. I practiced with different players but it's still way to hard to knock down wide open mid range J's. I found a good slider set and with ratings only I a getting accurate scoring games at 8 minute quarters. Stats are also pretty accurate as well.

I use ratings only. Too many hitches at the top of jump shots that shouldn't be there for me to try the other way. If the jumpers where smooth I would give the skill plus rating more of a shot.

Or if they had so e sort of feedback system to let you know how your release was I might also try.

I don't know, shooting is one thing I haven't had an issue with in this game...I used player skill

So many of the shots are duplicated anyway, so I got a grip on when to releases each shot fairly quickly...

I agree with all of this. Ratings only is the way to go IMO.

It's disappointing that there's still no way to use ratings only in any of the online modes.

I have been using skill + ratings but I might just give ratings only a try to see how it is
