Enough with the nonsense already... I have both games and although the other game has its issues, it has one redeeming factor: gameplay wise it's not a broken game.

Live 14 has:

- piss poor production value (yes it has ESPN presentation, which is great but that's IT)
- a short list of animations that is flatout unacceptable in this day and age and new gen era
- BROKEN gameplay (horrible input lag, crazy glitches, that-spin-move-in-the-post-finisher-move, ridiculous free throw mechanics and on and on and on)

Of course you're entitled to enjoying the game (I love dipping in on Ultimate Team once in a while), but please don't try to tell people how 'good' this game actually is, cause that's a lie, period.

The boys at EA have a foundation now, but they have their work cut out for them and I think october will be here very, very soon for them...

I totally agree with your post. This Live team has alot to prove with Live 15 because of their screw up with Live 14. We will see if they can actually deliver this time around October or they will have to face making a tough decision with this struggling franchise. Last I know some of you guys have lowered your expectations for Live 14 this year, but will you raise them for Live 15? EA and the Live team have been put on public notice and the excuses for them have all been exhausted.

You and him can have opinions all you want.
That doesn't change the fact this is not a good game by any stretch of the imagination. You think the button lag for instance is acceptable? In 2014?
Then there's no point in discussing this any longer. I'd just tell you to raise your standards for the company that deserves your hard earned cash.

both games have plenty of input lag. lives is certainly more consistent but there are plenty of times in both games where player actions are well behind button presses or dont occur at all.

I don't think he said his opinion was nonsense? He came back with his own opinion about how he feels about the game and I agree with him. I joked with my friend the other day, if you're just playing with the menus and features of the game, NBA Live is great...once you get into a game it's terrible.

I think he was more just attacking his claim that people don't realize how good Live is when that's an opinion too...

He stated that "he" didn't think people knew just how good Live is which is his opinion. I'm not gonna say Live is better than 2k, but I can say that "I" prefer live over 2K. At the end of the day, it's to each their own. I love sushi some people love pork chops. I wouldn't touch a pork chop. Because, I like what I like and you like what you like. That's what makes us all individuals.

Sushi is delicious...but yeah everyone can like what they like. All I know is that Live needs a lot of work

I tired to give EA the benefit of the doubt this yr... played live a lot this yr, but after the patch, Live 14 has become unplayable for me.... pretty much all next-gen titles at the moment... trying not to regret my nextgen purchase, but live 14 is an unacceptable piece of work for me... EA hasn't proven anything but the same consistent failures in my book

The NBA live is too far from NBA 2k14 base on the visual and the graphics also NBA 2k14 has a new controls for there new Cool moves. Just try to play the game and you will see the differences.

The NBA live is too far from NBA 2k14 base on the visual and the graphics also NBA 2k14 has a new controls for there new Cool moves. Just try to play the game and you will see the differences.

Early adoptors of next Gen hardware complaining about lack of polish and games. Lol

Live does some things better but to many game breaking issues. 2K is a graphical update still with legacy issues. Same gameplay love it or hate it.

Both were hype machines. Live harpist overall need tons of work. 2K at some point needs to take a chance on it's gameplay. Starting to look like Madden.

Ive played Live 14 and will tell you this, everything you mentioned that is wrong with 2k as far as defense is actually in 2k.
at the coach default settings you would think that rotations, double teams, spacing the floor does not work, but that is far from the truth.

all these things that you say do not work are fixable in the coaching adjustments, and in game adjustments. Im not talking about editing coaching profiles, but actually making in game adjustments.

you can hedge, double team, play tighter defense,, have quicker rotations etc. Again, as a user you have to make those coaching adjustments.

spacing the floor, calling isolation's, etc are all available.

I dont think folks really understand or explore the depth of 2k. its phenomenal at the amount of in game adjustments one can make.

you cant make most of those adjustments you mentioned in my career though. and the ones you can make (calling for an isolation for example) dont really work. so all of those things remain an issue.
