E3 Questions

Operation Sports has a small group that will once again be attending the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in L.A. next month. Use this thread to post questions that you would like our Staff to ask the Developers at the Conference.

Keep in mind not all questions will be asked. There are 10's of thousands of people attending the Conference and you are given limited windows to speak directly with the Devs.

1) How many dunks are going to be in NBA Live 2005? Who did they motion capture?

2) a. Explain NBA Live 2005's Free Style Air control.
b. Will Free style Air able you to control layups also? (double clutch, reverse layup)
c. Will Free Style Air also be for defense so you can contol the power of your blocks?
d. Will you control your dunk in mid air or while you are running to the hoop?
e. Will everbody be able to dunk?
(I want to know as much about Free Style Air as I can.)

3) a. Please explain the new Graphics Engine you are using.
b. What will you guys (EA Sports/ EA Canada) be workin on the most?
c. Will you be redoing the prlay models so that the look more realistic?
d. Will the rims and arenas look any better?
e. Will the crowd graphics be any better?
(I want to know as much as i can about the new graphics.)

4) a. Free Style... What are you adding?

5) Are you going to make the animations better. Players sliding?

6) What new features are being added.

7) Is the off the ball movement going to be improved.

8) are you going to fix the pivoting moves.

Fixed the off-season star free-agents problem of re-signing to a their teams and not just sitting there on the free agents list?

1) What have you done to fix the presentation and the atmosphere the crowd?
2) Free style Air sounds like a great feature but will certain players be limited with what they accomplish with it? Example a guy like Richard Hamilton should not be doing tomohawk or double clutch dunks with it?
3) What has been done to improve the franchise mode? Will there be in season scouting or Pre draft camps to actually play with guys your interested in selecting?
4) Will the overall speed of the game be slowed down. While the sliders were a great way to slow the actual foot speed of the game, the game moved very quickly off of timeouts or fouls and the passing and gave it a very arcade like feel?
5) Will each player play like there NBA counter parts? Again Peja should be limited with his ball handling and will come off screens to get his shot off while a guy like Steve Francis goes more one on one>
6) What has been done to expand the low post game? Will there be a difference if your guarding Shaq compared to how you guard Kevin Garnett? Have you considered giving free style control to the low post game as well where we can control anything that we want to do? Example would be up and unders, shoulder fakes, jump hooks, hook shots?
