CPU Fast Breaks - Can they be stopped?

Just broke this game out again and now remember why I stopped playing it before. It is a great game except for the laser speed CPU fast breaks that occur 5-8 times each quarter.

Any tips on how to slow the break down (other than make more FGs!)? I'm playing on starter right now.

    Thanks!

Sliders, lower in-game speed to 50 or less. Also, set the team strategy, turn on crash boards for the cpu and turn it off for your team.

Check out the sliders thread for more info on sliders.

Yes, take better shots. Dont take shots that allow like 3 people to get back while you have one. Move the ball, and try to take it in the inside if you cant get open in the perimiter.

If you get your shot blocked or just get the ball stolen, thats an automatic break regardless.

If you play with Detroit, my weapon on fast breaks are Tayshaun Prince and Ben Wallace, because they are glass cleaners on the break.

Re: CPU Fast Breaks - Can they be stopped?

I just quickly have one of my players run back behind the half-court line before the break starts. Usually the cpu doesn't even break if I do that.
