NBA Live 14 Post-Patches Gameplay thoughts....

After owning NBA 2K14 ever since I bought my PS4 back in NOV. I finally decided to ignore the reviews and give NBA Live 14 a try....WOW! I had no clue I was in for such a pleasant surprise! After the patches...Live 14 plays a mean game a b-balll! I'm not joking...once I learned the controls and play calling schemes...This game has grown on me and has me excited about what Live 15 could be once it has been completed. The blocks I experienced were all legitimate, the teams play like their NBA counterparts, and the crowds/crowd chants-noise is really good.

I think that there are some areas that need improvement such as (obviously) graphics, animations (including put-backs/tip dunks), and player emotion...also players constantly moving to get open/make a play. I do not think this game is NEARLY as bad as it has been pinged in the press....I would however like to see a significant upgrade for Live 15'.

Consider me excited! For the first time in a long time I have TWO basketball games to play...and that is a win!

played a game today and loved it!!! kinda wish this game was a bit harder!!!! too easy imo

I recently picked up the game about 2 weeks ago too and I love how simulation it is compared to NBA 2K. I can lose a game and be alright with it.

Yeah, the game is more responsive, you can still see the flaws, but a lot of things, game play wise, needs to be cleaned up, add some more animations, and the overall game play experience can be a lot better. I'm cautious optimistic about Live 15, but I think it will be a solid game.

Sliders would have made the game a whole lot better no doubt, also the ability to save rosters, all the things we're used to having would have made it a better, overall experience.

@ThaLiveKing I agree wholeheartedly. I love how sim it is and I think sliders will make the game amazing....along wth some strong attention to the game detail as well. #CautiouslyOptimistic

Is this worth a buy at 29.99 and waiting to see how Live 15 is before buying or would those of you who have it just suggest waiting until Live 15?

I'm interested in some of the modes it has to be different than 2K but I don't know if that's worth the purchase.

Not worth it for $30 at this point, with Live 15 coming out in two months. I'd wait for the Live 15 demo.

The online latency was never addressed on PS4, where NBA Live 14 remains the laggiest game on the system.

I can't speak for the online quality of the Xbox One version, as I've never played it.

On PS4, it feels like the online games are running with a slow motion GameShark code enabled. Timing jump shots is pretty much impossible.
