They could at least adopt some simple ones like Shooting Ability so user/cpu FG percentages could be adjusted. Same goes for steal and block percentages. Just an overall percentage up/down on the dice roll behind the scenes wouldn't affect ratings and give users the ability to customize the game a lot better.

Even a barebones set like "FG % / blocks / rebounding ....would be adequate for this year.

Blocks have been historically terrible in this series...steve nash getting multiple blocks / basically anyone can block 10 shots a game if you focus on it with any player. Just give us a slider to prevent it going nuts.

The game looks promising. I really like the physics in NHL and FIFA this year and I find 2K's lack of physics really hard to adjust back to (like the game / hate the lack of physics). Next gen for me should be things like physics. I am ready to get into LIVE if they just allow us to adjust it to our like even a little bit. A few sliders / edits.

I'm waiting for someone to come on here and say

"you shouldn't be trying to block shots with Steve Nash or Jose Calderon"

That will be their logic to fixing perimeter blocked shots instead of having a slider to control that issue.

And I agree with you that block shots has always been a issue with NBA Live out of the box.....

Offensive rebounds is another problem that was never handled properly unless you adusted the sliders.

Some of the guys who are coming in here defending this move by EA to exclude sliders are most likley people who only play on online and that crowd base has the slightest idea of how to adjust sliders for the offline gameplay and nor do they care.

Or maybe just MAYBE they are so confident with their difficulty settings and as realistic as possible A.I. that they didn't need to put in sliders...haha extreme wishful thinking.

Oh well, I like to think positive thoughts. But regardless, personally I don't care because the only time I've ever used sliders was to turn everything to 100 or 0 so I could easily get a trophy or achievement for one game.

I understand where people are coming from though.

I think even without sliders and player editing, if Live delivers on other things well this could be a solid title and set up potential a showstopper Live 16. The game modes look pretty sweet, and we already know Ultimate Team will be awesome. It's all about gameplay at this point.

I realize that they must be telling the truth, but it sounds like something that was written 12 years ago. I hope they are not planning to not have the technology for posting-up next year...
