I like how 2k is giving live a pulse. 2k didn't even need to improve their game all they had to do was get their servers working (which in turn improves the game but you knew what I meant). Give props to ea as there servers for the most part are pretty good. Say what you will but if your game doesn't play well online I probably won't get it. Love my self competition.

I just want to have options, so I'm really pulling for Live to be a solid game.

Live 14 had some things going for it:

Ultimate Team was awesome and they actually have Leaderboards and it keeps track of your record...for me that is huge because it adds to replay value.

Rising Star was pretty cool and a slight different take on the "other" similar game mode.

The Soundtrack was awesome...hip-hop all day!

So if the gameplay is halfway decent...I'm pumped

No corporation wants competition. If it were up to every corporation in the world, they'd want a monopoly in whatever product or service they provide.

2K took a shot at Live in their launch trailer by saying "the only competition we need is ourselves". Live responded by calling out 2K's servers.

In the NBA, teams take shots at each other because they wanna be the best. That's what both franchises are doing here. It's good for us fans because we get to see 2 companies fight for our business. In the end, the consumer wins because companies put pressure on themselves to do what they say and put out the best product.

In what world is that 2K taking a shot at Live? A statement like that is more of a response to people claiming they're sitting on their asses becuase Live has been pissing itself for the last four years or so. That's like saying the Colts are taking shots at the Jaguars because they didn't consider themselves rivals.

Anyway. Modes look decent. I'll eventually pick this up for cheap. I imagine I'll have some fun with some of these provided the gameplay is good. Still need to see some here.

I find it interesting that both Jordan and Adidas feature prominently in the game modes. I would think only one would be like 2K's Jordan gamemode or Jordan and Nike instead.

And still no 5 vs 5 gameplay video. I mean, at this point could it actually hurt sales?

What I'm wondering is if in Rising Star if 2 people (1 being myself) Will fill the same draft spot. Like if I go 9th to the Hornets, it'd be nice if Vonleh wasn't also drafted 9th. So after I get picked, the rest of the draft should differ from real life.

Why should you or anyone concern themselves with sales at this point?

If you like a game, enjoy it.

If even find myself enjoying certain games more by staying off the boards and not reading about every single thing that is wrong with them.

Plus certain people have agendas.

Well it was in the game last year but I don't know about this year.

I got drafted #1 overall and Bennett was on the cavs roster.

The modes look promising...


My main concern at this point is that there has not been a single cpu v cpu video released.


It just defies all logic NOT to release a video if you are confident in the product.

I personally like that when you get drafted it doesn't change the order. I like having rosters as real as possible, I thought most people would enjoy that.

The modes sound real nice! I remember Fernando creating a thread about Dynasty and taking suggestions from Os members. I wonder what did they add from the suggestions? That could be a definite positive if Dynasty mode is decent.

Well they fixed the schedule and added back the play by play simulation. I also remember ppl asking for better trade logic. Guess we gotta play the game to see if any other minor things were added that they failed to mention.

Do I have control of all 30 teams in Dynasty Mode? I want to edit and make trades for other teams. This is a huge selling point for me.
