Re: Outlets won't be getting reviewable copies of NBA Live 15 until release day
We have seen this non-revealing approach used on an even bigger anticipated release before with Apple and their iphones. They keep that press really guessing too. Maybe someone at EA liked that approach and think the product is really worth putting the demo in our hands before we buy it, while assuming we will like it.Currently playing:
MLB The Show 17
NBA Live 18
NBA 2k18
Madden 18

When you say "all signs point to a huge let down" do you mean that all signs point to the game being worse than Live 14 or do you mean that all signs point to the game not playing anything like the NBA 2K series?Comment

I mean it not being much better than Live 14. I don't compare this game to 2k. I take them as two different games.Comment

I want the game to be ALOT better than Live 14. I see the huge jump graphics wise. I want that same "jump" in terms of gameplay and online performance as well.Comment

Re: Outlets won't be getting reviewable copies of NBA Live 15 until release day
I think they r just holding their cards close to the chest. I think they don't want alot of negativity from what they show. Most people still comparing Live to 2k. Live is not 2k. Each has always had a different style of basketball. They r taking the chance that when people play it they will judge it on the style of play that Live is known for. When past Live games were developed with good ideas and good development teams who wanted to push the brand forward, it played and executed well. But when they decided to take Live in different directions without the right people to get it there, then it turned into a mess. It seems like they have the resources and people in place to push it forward again. I think they are banking on the fact of us seeing and feeling that way when we play it for ourselves. From all the pictures we have been bombarded with , the last few months, most agree that the game looks very good. But when they released the quick WIP gameplay videos, the response was mixed. Then they started letting some of the media outlets get hands on time with it and most of the feedback was pretty favorable. Now they're gonna leave the rest up to us. They're gonna let their work speak for itself. All will be revealed tomorrow. EA Access it is.ChUrChGoInGaMeRComment

Re: Outlets won't be getting reviewable copies of NBA Live 15 until release day
So, all the video blogs (where they showed how Live 14 played and how Live 15 plays) doesn't translate into the new game being significantly improved over the old game to you? Even when everybody knows to this day that Live 14 had to be the worst sports game to ever be released on a next-gen console? I'm just at a lost of words...Comment

Personally, I don't buy the whole idea of them not showing it off because it is so awesome. If you have an awesome game that people are skeptical about, you do what they did with Shadow of Mordor, and you show it off at every opportunity you have.
Even if they were still working on it until recently, they had to have already finished it since its going up on Access tonight, and considering the lead time to get a patch approved, they have to have been done with it for a few weeks now.
I think it will definitely be better than 14, but that isn't saying muchComment
