i wouldn't say all the jersey, cause some look amazing like the kings, especially there black. All around, to me it destroys the other games jerseys, accessories, and shoes on every level possible.

I don't understand why the Live team felt they needed to change Parker's image from this unless this pic was a fake?

As far as player models/faces go, you could argue either way whether Live's or 2K's are better. I personally like Live's better, always have liked EA's look a little better. But I understand why people like 2K's as well.

But there is no argument to be made when it comes to arenas, lighting, crowds etc. After all the talk coming out of 2K's camp about specific arena lighting and all that for 2K14 and then to see the finished (underwhelming) product, it's great to see so much care go into proper lighting and detailed arenas in Live 15, as well as crowds.

It could be argued 2K15 took a step back in visual quality where there is no question about how far Live has come. Kudos to the development team and thank you to WTF for posting the pics. I appreciate your time and effort.

I'm more of a fan of the photorealistic take when it comes to players, but I can appreciate what Live brings as well...just a different art style...

The court, crowd, atmosphere and all that are unmatched....just makes the game inviting...

It's the movement that can take you out of the immersion though...if Live can ever nail that down...learn how to blend animations...wow.

It's great to see Live respresent each arena so well as far as lighting is concerned. Small details are still hit and miss...2k is more accurate as far as seating and arena dimensions (Live's version of the Palace of Auburn Hills and other arenas are not accurate, 2k's is) Live destroys 2k in terms of arena lighting...there is no contest at all. I don't like the overly glossy courts of Live 15 (and 2k14 as well) but I do love the scuff/sneaker marks in the paint (something 2k used to have). Live has always over-done it with the crowd...a regular season crowd should not be continuously hyped up and standing/cheering. Most playoff games don't even have that kind of atmosphere. Those are really personal preferences though...what can not be debated is Live has taken a huge step forward and their arena lighting is in a class of it's own.

You're definitely correct in that 2K's arenas are, on the whole, more accurate. My issue with the arenas in 2K are the lighting is terrible! All this work into details and everything else but everything past the first few rows is pitch black...to the point I can't see anything but the scoreboards that wrap around the facing of the 2nd and/or 3rd levels. It's brutal.

As far as I recall, there's three arenas that do "theatre-style" lighting for games: MSG, Barclay and the Staples Center (and only for Lakers games, Clippers games the crowd has lights on them). In 2K, every single game has theatre style lighting. It's so off putting. It's like they're trying to hide lack of details in the arena/crowds. Maybe they're not, but you can't tell either way.

I'd rather a 90% accurate arena with lighting like Live has over 100% accuracy with lighting like 2K has. It's a big pet peeve of mine because I'm very much into stadium/arena architecture and feeling like "I'm playing at blank, this is awesome". 2K last gen did a great job with at least lighting up their arenas. Not sure why the decision was made to go the way they went, but Live is on point with their looks.

At least in still shots. They obviously need work with their animations but I actually believe in this group to pull it off. I don't think I would have said that after seeing Live 14. But I really truly feel with the focus on physics, looks and "simple" gameplay (truth be told, anything is simpler than 2K's control scheme and animation driven gameplay) Live has a chance to be a much more next gen experience in time.

I say all this with nothing but respect for 2K. I love their game. It does what it's trying to do ridiculously well. But with both 2K14 and 2K15, I can't say I feel like I'm playing a next gen sports game because the animation driven engine is very last gen feeling.

Who knew after years and years and years of us harping on EA for not pushing the genre forward, the introduction of RTP in Fifa, Madden, NHL and the early stages of it in Live 15, they would be the ones to bring us gameplay that has the POTENTIAL to be truly revolutionary. The day gameplay matches these screens WTF has put up, we're in for a treat. And I don't think it's that far off.

It makes me wonder if they just created a couple of "base" models and used them to tweak per whatever player they were creating. it would explain why a lot of players have some of the same flaws in them with their body type.

I just wish the uniforms didnt look and feel like these dudes were going to a track meet. faces look good though. Will have to see how the game actually plays though.
