It gave me a list of updated things when I booted the game:

Updated player heads for d rose, J. Noah, Leonard , melo

New Spurs championship jerseys
Cleveland, pelicans, Charlotte courts updated
New Jersey icons for min, Mia, phi and cle
Updated cavaliers accessory colours
New pull the chair post move
Updated catch animations on inbound pass
Updated up and under animation
Foot planting for pump fakes
Free throw shot timing
There's a couple more little things I didn't feel like listing

EDIT: Kyrie also got a new face/hairstyle

Very nice...day 1 patch update plus in-game update...it's going to be great that they can update some of this stuff without submitting a patch...

Have updated and got a progress bar that is taking a while to update but at least it lists all the items in the update. Well most of them.

Rose, Noah, Leonard and Anthony scanned heads with jersey and court updates. Some new animations (pull the chair, catch and inbound, etc), shoes, ratings, lineups, accessories, portraits, playstyles, foot planting and pump fakes, FT timing, etc.

No mention of defensive improvements though.

YES, man someone upload the new rose and melo heads if they can when they get the game. Damn I think I'll get the game. I wish they had fixed some of the suns players faces.

Taking a long time to update though. At 36% after 30 minutes or so. Is chewing my trial time (under 2 hours remaining).

EDIT: Was done 10 minutes later, lol.

Game plays way better after update..controls are more responsive and smoother all around..enjoying the game more now

- Updated San Antonio Spurs Championship jerseys

- Cleveland, New Orleans, and Charlotte courts have been updated

- Updated jersey icons for MIN alternate, MIA Floridians (Hardwood Classics), PHI road, CLE alt 2

- Updated accessory colors for new Cavaliers uniforms

- Updated "Pull the Chair" Post Move

- Updated catch animations on inbound passes

- Updated "Up and Under" layup animations

- Updated team show colors for Sacramento

- Jordan shoes updated for players in Rookie Showcase.

- Steal rating updated for K. Humphries & J. Hamilton

- Updated accessories on several players

- Updated rosters to reflect recent player moves

- Updated player shoes in the All-Star Game

- Moved some players to the free agency pool

- Updated player portraits in Live Ultimate Team

- Info updated on several players, including playstyles, positions, jersey numbers and more

Nope. This was not. The game plays much smoother even. First possession by the Spurs was a 15' jumper from Duncan. VERY SMOOTH
