What kills me even more is when you do play really nice D and the CPU makes the shot with 1 on the shot clock. Even with 2 guys draped on him, because you call the double team, because you know with that little time left he can't do anything but put it up.
The times when I know what the CPU is going to do and do the things to elevate my percentages of preventing them from executing yet they pull off a miracle happen way too much.
I am just not getting rewarded for playing good D.
This morning I did play and win my LUT game and a tip off game by only being the C or PF every defensive series. I just boxed out and denied the pass to my side of the post and then boxed out and went after any shot attempts that missed. I was within 1 of matching the CPU rebound for rebound. They beat me by 1 on the offensive rebound end and we tied on the defensive end.
Twice I dared to be the PG or SG and both times the CPU drove in and got a little 2 foot jumper/lay up basket.
Here is one of those the CPU can do this and I can't situations.
If I am defending as the PG the CPU PG will dribble left or right and toss a little hand off pass to the SG or SF, the CPU PG then does an illegal moving screen while the SG or SF rolls around them and me and goes horizontally across the court until he gets past the elbow at which point he cuts 90 degrees and drives right to the hoop.
My SG or SF under CPU control does this unconcerned half jog behind them and my interior D moves out of the way so the CPU can dunk.
Then I go inbound the ball.
