Why do my players feel like I'm walking in mud?

On defense especially, I can't keep up with anyone, and it feels like my players are moving slow - as if they're walking on mud.

I'm playing offlline on ps4 - full game, but it hasn't finished installing yet. That doesn't have anything to do with it, right?

So, how do i stay with my man instead of feeling like a slug?

They feel sluggish to me too....the defenders being able to glue themselves to you doesn't help either when your trying to move on offense...

I felt this as well. It's not the same feeling like 2k where you feel stuck in animation and your players aren't responding. It's more like a lack of fluidity and sometimes a bit of sunction. Just feels like the game still isn't as smooth as it could be animation wise. That could be the probably defense isn't smooth enough

Feels just like the suction D of 2k14 to me where you stuck in the defenses "steering" animation...

Yup. The two man animations on steering and riding your defender is annoying and just plain bad. Coming into contact with a defender while dribbling you just lose control and hope the animation finishes quickly. I don't understand why they couldn't implement FIFA's steering animations for their game. In FIFA you always feel in control and are not sucked in to the other player and they are both independently moving around. I can't wait for the day two-man can-animations are not needed to produce realistic collisions. Hopefully they address it in a patch and next year add RTP to ever aspect of the game and not just shooting.

Yeah I've noticed that. I thought it was just the gameplay not playing smoothly but it is sunction now that you mention it .

You really have to use angles to play good on-ball defense. When they start to drive, go to where they're trying to go, rather than where they are at the moment.
