    Re: 'Control and Responsiveness'

24th, try not using the right stick controls for a game as far as breaking people off, instead, use just the left movement stick, and quick change of direction. Let me know if you can shake the defender.

I had some success yesterday getting free. I'll have to see if I took video, but one in particular, the defender looked to his right, as I was going to my left. As soon as he glanced that way, I quickly moved the stick to my right and blew past him. Very organic feeling.

I can get free using the stick, but it was much better feeling that way. I'm not saying you'll have success with it, I just want to see if you do.

I dont know about you guys but personally i feel like i can get past the defence using dribble moves with ease.. playing on superstar (DEMO) just look at my video.. once i shake the defender.. they dont magically suction to me.. once i past them.. im free.. but even at that i do agree to some extent that the bumping animations need to be reworked.. because when they do bump you, you lose momentary control of your player.. there are times when i get bumped that i think.. oh damn i should be able to do a pull back dribble to shake him lose.. but no.. the game doesn't have enough contextual animations to make things like that possible......i probably ccant do a change of direction crossover with a defender on me to use his momentum against him .. smh so limiting

there are a couple of examples in my vid i posted earlier.. you just gotta learn to read the defenders moves and catch em slipping haha ...

Ill have to add that it also depends on the player i'm using.. i can get past my primary defender with relative ease using westbrook and kyrie.. only difference is that with kyrie i almost always have to use a series of moves to shake and bake .. where as with westbrook.. simple crossover and hes so quick i can blow by.. ill post an example in a bit

westbrook getting to the hoop with ease..REALISTICALLY.. THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RIGHT HANDED LAYUP..

Yep it's a combination of the left and right stick, I've noticed with certain players they can blow past you with their first step.

          Re: 'Control and Responsiveness'

I agree that the responsiveness is not there. The half second delay is something I also experience with almost all input.

In live 14, the dribbling was amazingly responsive to the point where you could almost use the right stick for every dribble your player took. Live 15 seems to balance it out with the rest of the game by slowing it down.

General player movement is still sluggish. It feels like I am driving a car or running with a backpack on. The players do not start moving quick enough, and they have incredible momentum which makes it difficult or impossible to stop on a dime(for those that are capable) unless you are shooting and that particular animation plays out.

Passing is still slow and every time I see an opportunity like an open player, the defense recovers because I have to wait for the pass and reception animations to complete before I can move or shoot. By that time, the defense recovers. This makes it so you really have to anticipate everything by memory rather than by reaction.

Anyone jump twice while rebounding or blocking because the animation didn't start quick enough?

Hell, I've had to press buttons three and four times at the main menu to get my input to register.

I hope they improve this in a patch. They were able to do it a little bit in 14'

Stealing is terrible too and registers way too late.

Makes it impossible to play the passing lanes even when anticipating. Needs to be fixed.

                Re: 'Control and Responsiveness'

Out of the triple threat I can't get any cpu defender to ever fall for any feints.

                No matter their D rating.

I went into 1-1 practice as Rudy Gay vs whoever the worst defensive player on the celtics is, can't remember the name.

He just sat and looked at me the whole time.

Reminds me of Indiana Jones except the defender doesn't shoot me.

                  Re: 'Control and Responsiveness'

I also agree with the half second delay. its there. I'm also learning that as WTF said it really is the left stick the gets you by your man you have to get the defender leaning with the right then move on him with the left stick. which makes sense but that delay shouldn't be there.

I have also had dribble controls not register.

getting sucked into the screen also needs to get addressed to because the screener usually pulls me in. especially on screens close to the basket

I'm gonna play some more so I can fully master and then further elaborate. its definitely a step in the right direction though.

this game probably would play really good though with 10 live players ala live 10s live online mode where could pick any 10 player in the league and play in an open gym. I had some of the most fun ever playing that mode

Finally got a good step off of a triple threat move yesterday...

How do you get in triple threat position? Sometimes, I want to hit the CPU with a jab step, but I don't know how lol

If you're at a stand still, not dribbling, just use the right stick in any direction. My favorite, is to call for the pick, use my pivot to face away from the defender, then when the screen gets set, roll the opposite direction.

Is there a button press to pick up the dribble?

When I get into the low post I can't do the Advanced moves of sticking the ball out or leaning back because I am still dribbling.

Only way I have found is to pump fake once.

Hmmm, just occurred to me, is it Y to gather without using the L or R stick?

Are they going to hotfix further the AI defenders at all ?

I see they're including animation updates and fixes in their patch which is awesome, so I'm wondering about this superman AI 1 on 1 defense.

I think they definitely need to lower AI 1 on 1 defenders capabilities, but they could boost the rim protectors effect to keep it balanced.

So I can actually school guys with a speedy PG at the top of the 3 point line, but it doesn't mean an automatic path and layup/dunk at the hoop, I still have to fear the shot blocking big men once I arrive in the paint.
                            It's realistic and simple
