So yes lazy is the wrong word......but it could be called something else "IF" you continue to have some of the same flaws that existed from 5-6 years ago right?
Bro, it is laziness. We are talking features that should have easily been in the game. No create a player! No editing players or rosters! No draft rosters! No new celebrations (still using NCAA 10 celebrations) This game is a sequel for a horrid basketball game and that was EA's measuring stick, not satisfying fans or putting out a COMPETITIVE product.

It did not have to be better than 2k, it only needed to be a game with updated graphics and gameplay (they improved on that) and basic features that allow players to customize rosters and create players, the very things that were featured in NCAA 10 and games before that!

The game is simply an improvement over Live 14, nothing more, and for $59.99, totally unacceptable.

What you're describing is not laziness. It's the lack of time and manpower to accomplish those things. The development team can only do so much with what they have. Let's say you shovel snow for money in the winters. On average, it takes, say, 30 minutes to shovel one driveway, so you can shovel up to 16 driveways in 8 hours. If I want to shovel 30 driveways in 8 hours, and you only get 16 done, is that laziness on your part?

The game has not brought in a lot of money in the last few years, so the higher ups are not giving them as much manpower to add all the bells and whistles we want in a single cycle. That is not laziness. They need to prioritize, and personally, I am just fine with their priorities right now. On-court gameplay comes first. All the modes and created players in the world won't make a difference if the game isn't fun to play.

Re: Why is EA allowing such laziness?

I am not going to judge this game yet.

Only reason is because they (the Dev's, EA's Live twitter, #liveallseason, etc) keep saying the game (NBA Live 15) will continue to evolve and expand until NBA Live 16 is released.

If someone doesn't like the state of the game now that makes sense, the logical thing to do would be to return it and wait to see if EA makes true on these promises.

I have never understood this Game Maker stance of here is this years game, now you get nothing while we go make the next version.

Then you get the next version and it's not a whole lot different than the previous one.

Financially I get it, you want to hold stuff back and then put it in the next one and say here you go we want more of your money now.

The NBA team seem to be going against this way of doing business. The game updates every time you turn it on. What it is doing is a mystery (and it would be really great if someone from EA could explain what can and can't be in these "micro" updates), but every day the people who post here are noticing subtle little changes to gameplay.

All I am saying is, whatever this game is now, it could be a lot different by christmas.

They could also just be blowing a lot of hot air but that would be another discussion.

Please use the impressions thread to post your thoughts on the just-released game.

Also, we're not going to start threads with the premise of calling out developers.
