Last year you pressed a shoulder button (L1 perhaps?) And the shoot button to trigger a floater did they take this out this year. Is it all automatic and contextual now?

I'm not seeing it at all and it's upsetting because I REALLY enjoyed it last year.

I assumed I was doing this wrong b/c it hasn't been working for me....hopefully it wasn't removed, I'll have to double check when I get back on...

They don't work. Just tried about 15 times in my last game. LB on the move plus shoot. Nothing but standard jumpers

I can't get it to happen in game but I have had it happen during practice. It is not automatic either, only happens at certain spots in and near the paint with certain amount of pressure on the left stick. It's a project.

Pretty disappointing and needs to be patched in.

The game is fun but it's all jump shots and layups. There's very few contextual shots running towards the rim which result in way too many awkward pull up jump shots right near the rim. Looks stupid and makes the mid range / close game quite flawed.

If you run sideways along the hoop you sometimes get a contextual hook or awkward side saddle shot but apart from that it takes you into a layup or a jumper when it would be much better to stop short for floater or even a runner.

Yeah, since lb is not a modifier and new just a quick action button, the floater or runner may be a different control or removed. Anyone try both pro hop and shoot together?

Went into practice mode last night and a bunch of different controls and couldn't get anything to work. There's a couple of floater animations that play out as layups when you're right near the ring but still nothing from the free throw line in.

Basically if you're running towards the hoop at full pace, you're only option seems to be to stop on a dime and pull up for a jumper or continue for a layup.

Patching this in would help the gameplay a lot IMO.

Ive seen the floater but only coming from the side of the hoop not once coming down the lane.
