I had a great time over the weekend with the legend packs, and was able to put together a 12 man team of all legends. I like classic NBA better anyway, so it's cool to take this team into games against modern superstars. I think they did a nice job on player selection, but there are still so many legends I would love to see in the game. I assume Jordan and Bird are not there because of licensing issues?

New player here, couple quick questions regarding roster makeup.

Are there any penalties for playing a player outside his regular position? If not does it really matter much? Like I suppose you might want to stick with Cs and PFs for those two positions and a PG who can pass but other than that do most people just use their better players. Like if I have two really good SFs and no good SG should I just play the SF there??

What kind of Legends do you have? I've got the same mentality! I only play with Legends because I appreciate the classic basketball more. They had the opportunity to include hundreds of Legends if they really wanted to...at the end of the day we're on next gen and they only used 15gb of disk space. As for Bird, he's in the game and he's rated 98OVR but he hasn't yet been released. Jordan isn't in the game because he's got an exclusive deal with 2K which if I'm correct, ends this year. So fingers crossed

There aren't any restrictions in terms of playing players in any positions. Some of the fantasy challenges actually require you to play with a team full of PG's, PF's etc...

I got a Bosh card where he's rated 87

Yeah, they released some new really odd updated cards for a bunch of players. Some guys took hits with the new cards, which I've never even heard of before taking place during the same season.

But some of the oddest changes comes from where they decided to place the updated points on the new cards. For example, I am glad they at least upgraded Bosh, and the new base and all star edition cards were upgraded fine. But I just saw the new signature series Bosh rated 88, and the points apparently all went into 3 point shooting!? He has an updated 3 point rating of 90!!! For Chris Bosh?! I've noticed odd stat fails all over as well.

The Jordan deal ends this year for real? 2k will do whatever to keep it exclusive but live needs sales and I think they will do whatever to have Jordan as apart of live 16. Besides Hakeem, bird was my fav legend last year. Dude is automatic lol

Theres over 100 legends. Besides pippen, the best ones havent bern released yet. Seems luke an eternity but this game hasnt been out that long. Be patient because the best ones are coming.

How cool would it be to have throwback granger n Jo. Instead of washed up players with crappy ratings? I won't stop my campaign until throwbacks are added!!!!! Not one single live player wants to play with guys who are washed up!!!!!! Would it be that hard to boost a guys rating in their prime? refuse to play lut because of this!!!!!

I really hope that happens too but I would want graphically accurate (face, hairstyle, accessories, shoes, etc) players besides their ratings from said time; for example early 2000's Kobe with his afro, 2004 Jermaine O'Neal with his braids, Finals MVP Wade with his Converse shoes, just naming a few examples.

Good to know Larry Legend is going to be in the game! I know there are many big names still to come, but I took advantage of the legend packs and the increased number of legends on the auction house to fill my team. Right now I have:

Starters: Kenny Anderson (PG) Reggie Lewis (SG) Dominique Wilkins (SF) A.C. Green (PF) Wes Unseld (C)
Bench: Michael Ray Richardson, Lenny Wilkens, Robert Horry, Otis Birdsong, Bob Pettit, Bernard King, Jalen Rose

Last year they realesed them for frequently if I remember correctly. Olajuwon is a beast!!!!!!! Hopefully this year injuries are off over son so I can use him when I get back to lut.
