On the plus side,
I got a Hibbert for 500 and a Collison for 400.
Also holy smokes that New Orleans tourney. The first two opponents were cake, the last of the 3, the Cav's, were not.
Took me 3 tries to beat it and if I was to guess I would say try 1 was on Superstar with ROBO Irving and Love, Love made the most ridiculous back to the basket shots repeatedly, I don't think he missed the entire game. And Irving, if he didn't make a layup he was fouled so he got his points one way or another.
The curious thing was I also have Irving as my PG. And watching the CPU Irving do all sorts of magic tricks I could not was pretty annoying.
So I lose that game by 21.
Game 2 must have been on All Star with ROBO Irving and Love again. But being on All Star I held it close. I mostly had to hang in there with clutch 3's to keep up with the CPU torrid scoring pace, I could barely do anything on the defensive end once again. I had the ball, down 1, with 28 seconds to go. I waste as much time as possible and bury a 3 with Thompson to go up 2.
The cav's have 3.8 seconds to beat me. In my end they toss it to Irving and I had put Duncan on him during the TO. I got as close as I could and jumped. Not only did Irving make it but he got an and 1.
I placed the controller down gently and then just laid face down on the floor for about a minute.
I collected myself and then replayed it 300 times and maybe Duncan gently touched his hand but touched his hand when Kyrie brought it down to watch the shot. Both of their hands were below their waist like a strange hand shake.
Whatever. The basket alone won the game but it had to insult me with the foul added on. Which just says to me, the game thought he might miss so they played it safe and called the foul so he could make the 3 free throws.
So I play it again and it seems to be knocked down to Pro, I win going away.
Now don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of the difficulty level lowering each game, I mean this is a videogame and it is supposed to be fun and burning contracts to a weirdly superior team isnt that fun.
So all and all it cost me 3 contracts to get past the Devil Cav's.
