Substitutions

Just wondering if I am doing something wrong. Picked up this game yesterday. I am a casual gamer when it comes to NBA games and the other game was too technical for my liking. Anyway playing my first game I had subs set to auto but noticed as half time approached my starters were still in there with no sub. Am I doing something wrong or is this a known problem? I thought I saw something about it the other day but can't locate the thread now.

Sub's happen often. I know there's a problem when 1 to 2 starter's start on the bench in the second half. Read thatuit was a glitch

Is there a place to change substitution settings? I couldn't find it in the coach options. One game I played it wasn't subbing for me. I did a few subs on my own and it didn't do any other subs. But most games it always auto subs. I want to turn it off
