Three Point Shooting after Patch

I can't for the life of me hit a three with some of my players. I've been playing with JJ Redick in my Dynasty mode..***n him off screens...shoot in transition, off the dribble...still can't get any shots to go.

I realize before the patch that threes were too easy. I probably shot 50-60% every game with all my players, but I can't figure out how to shoot 3's with him now. I'll go 0-10 or worse with him.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've tried playing on both rookie and pro mode. I've tried Ratings only and Ratings + Skill. Which would be best? I really enjoyed the game before the patch, but now I'm getting beat by 25-35 points a game.

It seems the only real way to score now is with layups. Mid-range jumpers just seem to clank off the rim as well. I'm not sure if it's the patch or if I need to change up what I'm doing. You'd think on rookie you could easily make shots from anywhere with any player.

I'd say it's a bit of both. You will need to adjust your game but refer to my thread about balance settings post patch.

Really that's weird before patch 2 i was swishing three's then after patch 2 came out it went down significantly but today on PS4 there was another update and 3's got easy again but not as easy as before but still got alot going in.

It seems like wide open 3 pointers have been touched again post patch...there were way too many of those that missed on green releases. I see a lot more go in now.

Pretty much all semi contested 3's still miss though....same with mid range jumpers

Same here. Even wide open midrange shots. KD, Kobe, etc.

I hope they didn't tune it after everyone complained with the last patch.

But they definitely adjusted something. Makes it beyond ridiculous when superstars are consistently shooting like 2-12 or some crazy low FG%.

It's because the shooting now feels like a sling shot rather than shooting, even free throws are awkward now, they need to fix the shooting because it feels unnatural now. I don't think it's percentage, I went 4-17 one game, but still shot about 48% from the field.

Midrange FT line pull-ups are even off. Uncontested.

When the game first came out, it was due to the shot timing.

They fixed it with the first patch.

I have no idea what this last one was for.

Interesting how some have changed their tune from 'adjust or give up' now that shooting is uncomfortable to them.

Guess this is where sliders would help a lot though...

Guess this is where sliders would help a lot though...

it's like you can feel the shot meter, especially on free throws, just feels like a sling shot rather than a shot. Some players during FTs the animation skips so you have to release the shot a bit quicker than normal.

Nah, you have to let the player set before you shoot mid-range, or it will be off, like half a second, even when shooting threes, you have to look at the player's body to see if he's squared

Ah ok....I believe I get what you mean....I think LeBron's FT is a good example of that...

I think the patch basically broke the game. It is impossible to hit jump shots or three pointers. We are talking about on rookie and pro...nothing goes in. Playing with Dirk, Monta Ellis, JJ Redick. You can't score. Everything clanks off the rim. It's quite frustrating. I was really enjoying the game before, but now I'm losing 21-5 in the first quarter. I can't make it through a half without quitting.

I'm not sure what else to try

at the cost of sounding like a elitist, last patch i could hardly do anything from the 3 or midrange all my shots (unless the person was like a 90 or 85+ ) were missing then i decided to play smart ball and set screens and WOW. everything changed from then and i go go back to beating the CPU.

this patch last night fixed most of my shooting problems, although i think there are just some games where certain players "couldnt hit the ocean if he was throwing the ball from the beach" i been winning games in LUT by 20+ even throttling the 76ers like 70ish to 28 on pro.

That's basically how I feel with this new patch. Sure I could score a lot if I just did pick and rolls and shot layups...but no NBA team plays like that. But not being able to hit any mid range or threes on rookie or pro is seriously broken.

Any thoughts on a fix?
