    Yes it is.

but the game is worth $15.00 assuming you have it to spend....

The dev's have also said they are looking into it, so it may be a non issue in the future.

Have played a couple games now with the shooting set to "ratings only" and have to say they are knocking down more open midrange shots. Still have to release when expected but at least some of the open mid range jumpers are actually falling. I actually set foul shooting to ratings only also but don't really notice more misses and it seems exactly the same as it was before...I almost never miss free throws.

If anyone else gives this a try post back with your thoughts...I'm currious what others see with this setting and if it feels any different other than the fact that some of the midrange shots will go in when your open.

I went to ratings only and the help for the 3 point and mid-range shots was minimal at best. Dunleavy, Hinrich, and Mirotic can't hit a freaking thing. Do the people making this game understand what the definition of an open shot is in the NBA?

They toned it down by the high as hell number of blocks on lay ups now. My last game 20 minutes ago, Kings had 13 blocks and Warriors had 6 blocks. All on lay up attempts.

I've seen this happen frequently throughout the course of the game. Some games have a ton of blocks. Doesn't mean they fixed anything though. I suspect it's just another anomaly

Yeah they need to fix this. It's too cheesy online. , people don't even play ball , it's pretty much hulk smash online.

It will be funny to see how people adapt to this when it's fixed. But with the way it is now, this game is a joke. I still love it, but the lack of a mid range, and the wonky contest system along with the spamming of pip. This game can become "unfun" real quick.

Then again , with the above its easy to see why people just spam the paint game

Unfortunately it seems EA has decided not to do anything more with NBA Live 15...haven't seen anything new in a while...since last patch anyway...with Fernando moving on it seems pretty clear what they've decided.

Game has great potential, I like the graphics and the player movement or control I should say..I play both NBA games and the frustration I have sometimes with 2k and the guys moving where I'm not trying to go is a pain...Live does this well, but I can't enjoy this game with these issues.

Losing a game because you're completely uncontested on shots and shoot 0-9 in the 4th quarter is just sad, yes...I can break down the defender and go for the dunk or layup though the cpu seems to pick up charges occasionally, (funny...even when I'm in perfect condition to take a charge, the contact happens...my guy goes down...and they make the layup with no foul or anything), but that gets old...and I find it really enjoyable to knock down the midrange jumpers that many others never attempt, and that goes for both NBA games. Its like people are so committed to the 3 or dunks/layups...that when you start to drive and then pull up for the midrange they're just shocked...lol.

Anyway...pleading for EA to do anything on these forums seems to be a waste anymore...I was hoping with what they did for UFC they'd be able to make this game shine..it definitely has the potential...and I was addicted to LUT for a while...but now...I'm bored with just dunking and 3's.

Like losing to people who just bum rush into the paint isn't fun. Especially when I'm trying to run a actual offense. If the defense for this bs was up there, then I tolerate it a bit more. But. It's like wtf.

It's so funny to watch his pg. Just outplay my bigs like they aren't there, but when I try. He has prime mutumbo. <_<

Most people online just reach for steals and do NBA Live's version of zig zagging to get in the paint.

Can't blame them though because it's virtually impossible to hit a mid-range jump shot or even a contested jumper in this game.

As much as I love this game (movement, in paint physics) it doesn't force you to play legit basketball or even punish you for not playing legit basketball.

It forces you to play a video game, and rewards you for playing...a video game.

I'm not mad. I still play the game it's fun versus the computer but online...not that fun.

I wish they could just release a quick update. I understand completely fixing it with a patch takes time but with how Live does updates I feel like a quick update could help us while we wait. It's sad that we keep being left in the dark.

At least at launch inside and outside shots were unstoppable. Now the game is completely unbalanced. They need to fix asap

I actually disagree with this sentiment. I like that there are fewer missed lay-up's; makes it more realistic in my opinion. NBA Players rarely miss lay-up's, unlike on 2K where Lebron will get breathed on and miss a lay-up.
Tell your line to protect on this play. Heck, tell your line to protect on every play; not just here.

I subscribe to this line of thinking myself. If the layup is contested or heavily contested then I can see some misses, However, it shouldn't occur frequently for the sake of realism.
