EA is the king of turning something simple into a super-hyped newfeature, so its pretty plausible that there wera handful of Sig dunks last year and now there going to market the heck out of them.
There were no signature dunks last year. I know the databases from Live 2004 very well and what they had were "dunk packages" which were automatically generated based on certain factors like position, dunk rating, jump rating, speed rating, etc.

Give somebody else the exact same ratings as Lebron has in that game at the same position and I guarantee you'll see the same dunks.

You will see dunks that certain players do (like Shaq's gorilla dunk) but it is not limited exclusively to that player.

It doesn't matter, since dunks don't happen as often as 2004, i'd like them to spend more time on improving the gameplay.

Yes, I believe that holds true programming wise. But I swear Lebron did the same ish like 20 times last year. So in a way on the game, it is like a signature dunk.

they shouldn't let you force dunks in live, I remember last year with the pro hop, you could almost force a dunk on every play, depending on how you get through the defense.

They should improve the dunks a slight bit more and have their fingers actually hanging or touching the rim.

EA did have sig moves and a few sig dunks. As a matter of fact they had guys like VC LBJ PP on Nike's website and it displayed their sig moves or dunks.
