    Playbook fixes

I am surprised this hasn't come up especially with so many hardcore bball fans here. What is wrong with the playbooks in this game. They are so basic its sad. Players dont have their own options and everything is barebones . Its also over complicated just to initiate a play. What do you guys think they should do to address this?

I am not saying they need 1000 plays like 2k but I would like to see real playbooks in this game instead of ISO, Screen , Post, and Cut

Yeah they really need to upgrade there playbooks, like you said there doesn't need to be 100's for each team but they need to at least double if not triple what they have now and also reduce the size of the scoreboard at the bottom of he screen as it often blocks where the play wants you to start from so you can't see it.

I had a long post written about this but the page crashed and it got deleted.

Basically what I tried to post was that besides how limited playbooks are, what bothers me the most is the lack of individuality about it. You could have Harden, Terry or even Dwight as SG and you'd have the same play for any of them which is ridiculous. If they so want to make us know that they've Synergy as a way to differentiate players, then why isn't it applied to plays? Live should have different plays for each player based on their tendencies, iso plays for Harden, spot up and off-screen plays for Redick, post up plays for Zbo, etc.

However, I do like the quick play stuff for players. I find it really useful when I want a quick specific thing for a certain player like a post up for a guard when he has height advantage or quick iso for a small forward.

The best playbooks EA installed were back in Live 07 and I believe 09

The problem is the games were so average that it didn't really matter what detail they provided with playbooks at that time because no one was playing Live LOL!

Now there is a bigger fan base and the playbooks are just too generic

Yeah i have noticed this, i was playing against the Grizz and Zach was killing me at pf then the cpu put him in at sf and he just hung around the 3 point line and didnt look to get involved at all.

In 2k no matter what position Zach was at the cpu would have him play like Zach... even at pg.
