Is the Live Team's Transparency Good or Bad?

Over the past week or so, the Live team has dropped cover info, a teaser trailer, hints of a new (I'm guessing tweaked) physics engine, promises of more fleshed out modes and more. I'm just wondering how everyone feels about this transparency by the team?

Not to get too far off topic, but with Live and many other sports games (EA or other) sometimes a lot of what the community asks either gets ignored or answered with a non answer. Most notably, we saw it on the NHL side of things last year, and the backlash that went along with it.

On one hand, I personally am looking forward to finding out more about the game this week. I think the Live team is showing a lot of confidence in their product, which is a hell of a change to say the least. Even with their promises of "being back" or delivering on expectations in previous years, I don't think the community genuinely felt like they were sold on their own game due to, more or less, a lack of transparency with information on the game.

I also realize the possibility that we could be in for another disappointment. While everything sounds good so far, I agree with most in saying that we need to be able to see the improvements. And there need to be A LOT of improvements. To me, Live 15 was a solid game and I'm still having some fun with it, but the team needs to capitalize on the opportunity they have to bring essential and much wanted things into this franchise, or the name Live is going to stay a running joke.

TL;DR Are you optimistic of the confidence the devs/PR team are showing, or are you expecting to be disappointed?

Re: Is the Live Team's Transparency Good or Bad?

For a guy like me that hasnt bought a NBA live game since 05 it gives me a lil interest in what the Live team is cooking up for this years game.

I am getting a lil tired of 2k and wouldnt mind a change of pace and having 2 solid basketball games out at the same time would be great.

So I will say this Live has my attention this year more then they ever had in a long time, with the confidence they are showing in their product, this week will tell us a lot.

I think something crazy is about to down with live. These guys were afraid to show anything in previous years but now it seems as if live 16 is the game ea is most proud of lol
