I don't own a Xbox one but this might just push me to get one just to play EA sports titles because this isn't the first time I have heard that EA sports games look better on the Xbox one. Any one with a Xbox one and a PS4 does this hold any truth??

A user here (behindshadows) analyzed EA Sports titles last year and determined that the colors were much better on XB1 versions than they were on PS4. I don't believe he mentioned anything else being better, considerably better at least.

So I don't know if I necessarily buy ipodkingcarter saying Live looked "1000 times better" on XB1. Plus, the "comparison" pics of Live that he put up, saying he suspected one was XB1 and the other was PS4, looked really no different from each other in terms of graphical fidelity, IMO -- they all looked good.

Hopefully it's not true; regardless I am not buying an xbox just to play EA Sports games ...

Well I planned on buying a Xbox one anyway but if this was true I would just buy Live for the Xbox and 2k on the Ps4.

You can change the colour depth on the xbox one to bring out the colours also. I usually play Live with full colours

You can also calibrate the colors on your TV that's what I did and I'm on PS4 the game actually looks 10x better

This. And again, I'm just not buying that EA would design so that the PS4 version (a slightly more powerful console) is somehow going to lack the polish & detail that the XB1 version will. EA partnership with Microsoft or not. I don't see it happening.

You can also tweak the settings on the PS4 so the color pops. I will get back to you guys on where to go.

How do you do that with XB1?!

Settings > Display and it's at the top. If you play shooters, I recommend you don't leave it at the highest lol

They took off the PC settings in an update, the game looked nice in that option also

I totally agree, but I did make a promise. Go to Settings>Sound and Screen>Video Output Settings. Set RGB Range to full and Deep Color output to Automatic if not already there.

As someone who owned Live 15 on both consoles I'll say the PS4 version was more shinnier, or sweatier if you want to say that. The XBone version was alot more vibrant... but if you have a TV that supports a PC setting via HDMI in my opinion it makes everything pop and become more vibrant. From what i know of my PS4 it doesnt veiw a PC setting on a TV the same way the xbone does.

He's basically pointing out what I said weeks ago, and the contract with M$ is why there is a different...even FIFA 15 graphics are different and have better 3D rendered crowds on Xbox One version....

The colors on PS4 are bland, because they still can't produce dynamic lighting...same issue they had with PS3...not sure why they are still struggling with that, with the power of that consoles GPU.

Damn, so it was more than just colors? Is EA just half-a**ing it on the PS4? With dynamic lighting, for example, MLB The Show can obviously do it...

Sorry but this is not right. By changing the RGB range to full without changing your TV color space, you're just crushing the blacks. It appears to have more pop 'cause everything gets darker, but like I said, you're just crushing the blacks, and you'll have very poor shadow detail.
